About 6 months out of the year it's steady at 60-80 hours. I had two weeks in a row at 90 hours so definitely did not go the gym those weeks. It sucks after a long day at work but I'm always stoked afterwards. Also I starting using a pre workout to help give me the extra drive. Idaho is the same we have been getting some…

I meal prep my breakfast and lunch when I'm on shift that has seemed to help me the most. But of course firefighters might be the best cooks in the work lol so dinner I struggle. But if I eat something that might now be the healthiest I try to eat smaller portions. It's tough to get the entire crew to join the fitness…

I know how that goes man. Monday-Friday I hit the gym after work which sometimes is pretty late because I work 60-80 hour weeks. Weekends we go on walks by the river and hikes but like you we can't do this during winter because of the cold. My goal is to be in the gym 4-5 times a week and then I try to balance everything…

I meal prep my breakfast each Sunday. I do 1 cup of steel cut oats and the night before I eat I add 1 cup of almond milk. By morning it's oatmeal and I add 1 cup of berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) and some honey. I also have a protein shake. It's easy for me since I'm not a morning person and it takes…

I think the best advice I've ever gotten was to stop worrying about macros and following them to the T. Eat a meal which consists of a meat, carb, fruit, and veggie 3-5 times a day. Eat when your hungry and drink plenty of water. Eat healthy and proper proportions. Hope this helps, but like I said not following a strict…

If it's extremely painful take a break and try some other activities to supplement it. Seriously being in pain and still working out can cause muscle and tissue damage. Some good low impact cardio like swimming can help your body heal and still get a workout in. Just listen to your body and remember that you don't have to…

What's up Andy?! Change up the workout routine, add some fun stuff into it! When I get bored I will change my workout and the new challenge gets me stoked again. One I really like it a month long routine, on odd weeks (1st and 3rd) I will hit heavy weights and one even weeks (2nd and 4th) I will do more body weight…

I have days when I'm not close to the body I want to one day achieve. This sounds corny but be proud of yourself and what you have accomplished so far. 20 pounds is great. Sometimes it takes a bit longer then you expect but just remember to be proud of yourself for what you have done. When you hit another great milestone…

Hey there! First off great work for starting the journey! It's a difficult process. I'm sure you hear this all the time but people's opinions don't matter. This fitness journey is yours and yours alone. Progress is progress and when you start to see results you want more as fast as possible. It's human nature I do it all…
