Wow!! 10,000 a day with a desk job? Impressive. I'm adding you. :) I can't seem to get past 6000 at my desk job! (And must are done before work!)

My TDEE is 1740, so you are correct! :)

Like I said upthread to OP, do what feels good to you :) Our bodies are all different. I didn't limit sugar for weight loss, I limited it for other reasons, mostly because it made me feel horribly lethargic and bloated. Surprised to see you here! That would look like that, but exercise does figure in, although I…

Thanks for clarifying Please read my post again. I meant the subject of sugar gets people ruled up. Also. I said I read the post about the deficit and said I read it differently than they meant it. Just like you did with my "sugar gets people riled up" comment My point is WHY doesn't everyone support something that works…

I edited my post for clarity.

I don't know how that got bolded lol. ... but sure... I should've explained that a little better...what I meant to explain was that I'm eating enough calories to not be unhealthy. I use a fitness tracker and sometimes eat back my exercise calories and sometimes I don't / what I was trying to express was I'm never starving…

Ooooh. Sugar gets some people on these boards all riled up!! Forget what the naysayers are saying to you. I have mostly cut out sugar (I eat between 10-15g a day) and the sugar I DO eat comes from fruits and. Veggies ...And I have lost weight and I CERTAINLY am not eating at a calorie. deficit. I feel better, I'm not…

I've lost another 7 lbs since this after pic was taken but feeling pretty great about my progress so far
-
That sounds like it makes sense and I do like a reward! Lol
-
Gotcha! Thanks for the clear explanation. I sync throughout the day so I guess I will leave them on and see what happens.

I thought about just turning it off but I don't want to eat less than I'm supposed to---not that I think I'm exercising so much that I might need those extra calories!!) -- i've read both theories on these boards that you should and you should NOT eat back your exercise calories. I just want to do this right.

Walk. Walk every chance you get. If you can't go too far at first that's ok! Try to increase your distance each time you walk. Also, when I started, I would park my car in the parking space farthest from where I was going. And I stopped using the drive thru at the bank and the coffee shop - drink lots of water. I'm new to…

Great advice everyone! I prob should be wrighing the avocados rather than just judging by size, which I will start doing my posts all showed up at once didn't realize they were being approved. I thought because I used an Emoji or two (!!) they were being deleted. I eat pretty healthy throughout the day breakfast just…

I'm going by what MFP says - you don't think it's right? 234 calories- 1 med Avocado 119 calories - 1 tbls Olive Oil Does that seem too low
-
Oops. 243 per serving
-
Recipe builder - doubled the recipe - 3 servings =243 calories so I'm okay with that  Thanks!
-
Thanks!!

Yes! It's all for me!! I love it and it fits into my day. I seriously started thinking about it at a red light today thinking wow that's a lot of olive oil and a lot of avocado and one sitting or maybe it isn't I'm not sure that's why am asking. I said to myself "I am Going to ask those smart people on MyFitnessPal message…

Well there was a whole post here I don't know what happened to it! I was just wondering if this recipe seemed healthy or has too many healthy fats and it is that even possible? INGREDIENTS: 1 cucumber (peeled and de-seeded plus additional cuke for garnish) 1 tablespoon onion (minced) 1 avocado, peeled 1 tablespoon olive…

Yes. My settings are set to the lowest activity ("very little activity") that MFP offers. I am 5'3" 190lbs - Ive lost almost 50lbs but the weight loss stopped. I get around 6000 steps a day but working on building that (I work a desk job that keeps me tied to the chair for most of the day)
-
Thanks I will
-
Thanks! Everyone is so full of information here!! :)

Yes!!!

You know I'm not really sure how many calories it gives me. I basically use the step tracker for just tracking my steps. I don't follow the calorie advice are graphs they give me. I use my fitness pal for all of that. I do however, notice that since I got the tracker I am way more active. it's a motivation tool for me so…
