I am actively working on reducing weight so while I was focusing on my diet I have been walking daily without pressuring myself to go to the gym (ours were closed up until yesterday bc of COVID anyway.) When I am going to the gym, I am there about 6 days per week- 3 days weights, 3 days cardio

My heart goes out to you. I am from a cold climate and moved to a hot one bc the winters were getting way too long for me. Things that helped me in my former environment were getting a good sun lamp (Amazon) and joining a full service gym. They cost more, but I budgeted it in because being able to occasionally swim even…

Going to my follow up this morning and showing our doc that I lost 10lbs. since my June physical!

I usually make it a “cheat meal.” I have a lot of weight to lose so I build the occasional treat into my meal plan. MFP diary keeps me in check to make sure I am meeting my caloric goals for the week!

Fast food- it hit me that I was eating it for the temporary/emotional “high” of the taste. Then it hit me that it didn’t even taste that good/wasn’t THAT satisfying for the amount of calories it is!

First of all- CONGRATULATIONS! 🍾🎉 I think you can drop 25 lbs in 76 days with the level of determination you sound like you have! I personally have found that a more Keto eating style has worked well for me (low carb/mid protein/high fat.) This while tracking macros in MFP has made a world of difference. You got this!!

External support can be hard to come by, so finding motivation definitely has to come from within. Since weight loss is my personal journey, aside from wanting it myself, I am seeking out my “tribe” by finding active social groups (like this one) and making sure I read the stories of and interact with people who can relate…

I have done 16:8 in the past and it worked well for me! My meal window was from 1-9, covering lunch, dinner with my family and any afternoon/evening snack

Good question- are you getting enough fat? It has made a world of difference for me

I lost six pounds because my husband and I had COVID. :( I ended up with the profound loss of taste/smell so food was not appealing...all better now though!

Congratulations to you!!

Agree. But to the OP, I feel you. I have become verrry cautious as to who I tell I about my weight loss efforts/calorie restriction. It seems wild, but I find more people telling me "you can cheat" regarding my dietary changes than "good for you on taking control of this!" My body has historically told me that "YOU NEED TO…

Fair assessment! The take away being- if I want to lose weight, here is what I should calorically shoot for to do so. At that time, I was a sedentary woman weighing in at about 200 lbs. I am 5'7". In short, "no more slamming 2500 calories of complete crap and sitting on my tail." Lol. Now I am lightly active and tracking…
