That is astonishing. Here in the U.K. I think they would remove that loose skin for free - how much would that cost where you are? Because if that loose skin is stopping you being happy with your body then get rid of it. Start a Kickstarter campaign? I’ll put in $10. You have done an amazing job. Inspirational.

Hello, I wondered what your height is? I am the same weight as your original and my ‘ideal’ bmi is 168lbs. It seems low to me but I’d like to have a go.

I am joining you from today!! Recent program on tv said that the best thing you can do to boost your health is take time off from booze if you are a drinker. There is no drug that can provide the combined benefits! I will find this very difficult.

Also, free food at work still contains calories unfortunately. That's not a tip, just an observation. :#

Learn to love the numbers! Losing weight isn't a faith, like crystals or shamanic chanting. And human biology isn't listening to your mind saying 'you can have a treat from time to time, what the hell I'll have a day off, it's too cold to run today, she can eat what she likes it's not fair I'm going to give up not eating…

Yikes. Pass.

Sure if your calories and macros are there why would it matter? One thing though, a nutritionist told me off for using a nutribullet because you need saliva to digest food and so without chewing you miss that important step. But whatever!

Good man. You can show your clients t

Aargh but if I change setting to 'very active' it gives me an extra load of daily calories! Annoying.
-
Aha this is where I'm going wrong!!! MFP just awarded me another 600 calories just for walking 20,000 steps which is my normal daily steps recorded by my M400. I don't really want it to do that - if I ate another 600 calories there'd hardly be a deficit!! I'll change my MFP setting to high exertion. Really I'd prefer it to…

Every single person in the gym is there for a reason. If they were totally happy with their bodies and their health, they wouldn't be there.

Your photos are well impressive. That is a lot of weight loss.
-
You look like a different person.

That is interesting because the number of calories my Polar watch gives me almost exactly corresponds with that Runners World formula. But thats weird isn't it, because if I sprinted 10 miles I would burn more calories than if I ran only just faster than a walk. But, I guess, people like me who weigh 175lbs can't generally…

It should be public, I'll take a look!

Ok thanks for your quick reply. Can you give me some advice - I am 5ft 7 and 174lbs. I am trying to get to 162lbs because it's the uppermost limit for the BMI for my age. It seems a reasonable goal, I have plenty of visible body fat. I lost about 10lbs really easily but I've just stalled, that's why I dropped the calories.…

Sedentary is where you don't move at all. Lightly active is where you move around a bit!
-
Thanks that looks good! I wonder if you could decrease the calories by using some kind of sweetener? Maybe this should be on the recipe forum.

Thanks I do have a little set of digital scales, and it has been very useful, for example to see how desperately sad a 25gram portion of muesli is. I don't use it all the time because I won't let my dieting affect family life (we eat healthily anyway, its just me that's the greedy one), but my wife wouldn't be amused by my…

I meant to say "hopefully others can relate, and thanks".

Hi, forgive me if you've answered this already; I thought I had a good handle on the eating-less/losing weight thing but apparently not. I'm 5ft7 male, stocky, 40 years old. Weight 175 lbs. Aim is to get to 160lbs which is the upper end of the UK BMI (so whatever people's views of BMI are it seemed like a reasonable goal,…

Another one - if you add a vitamin pill to your snacks and it says "frequently paired food - pint of guinness", its time to reassess your lifestyle. :#

That's fantastic, better than a photo. Well done.

Thank you.

BrianDavid did your forget your trousers?

Hi and thanks for your inspirational thread. I am 8 lbs away from my goal which is to be within 'normal' BMI. 40 year old male, exercise is running. Stretch goal is to be middle of normal BMI. I often fall short of my protein goal - my first question is, if I am 500 calories short of my daily goal, should I make up the…

Actually now I think about it, if the reason for potassium is to counter sodium, I probably shouldn't be drinking the v8 juice at all, as it has stacks of salt in it and previously I was registering almost no sodium in a day at all!
-
The potassium thing doesn't always work. I searched for banana and put in 'generic banana' and it added some potassium to my nutrition for the day. I scanned the bar code on a banana and it didn't register any potassium. So I scanned the barcode for a litre of V8 vegetable juice and it didn't add any potassium for that…
