Good question, right now I have a terrible cold that turned to an upper respiratory tract infections, and have zero energy to do much, ive have this for 2 weeks, im feeling weak, and muscleless. Ugh.... i just want this crap gone. So i dont loose what i worked so hard on.

Try incorporating strength training. Hiit is great but add some extra flare to your workouts. ;-). Weight lifting changed my life after having a baby 8 months ago, i got my butt into gear 4 months ago and lost 20 lbs with just nutrition and weights. I dont do much cardio besides walking because i have lung issues that…

Try something new, its exciting ... you are missing out on delicous flavors. Just saying.

It can get monotonous for sure, I've had to stick to my home gym since my 6 yr old is off for the summer (they dont allow kids over the age of 5 at the gym on the base). And though I've been making the best of the home gym, i miss the adult time with the other ladies there, small talk. Or the hey cool exercise, show me…

Use a nebulizer about 4 times a day to loosen up your lungs. Steamy showers. Take your meds on a regular basis, even if you arent symptomatic. While exercising, I think (for me ) relief comes over time. I used to do incline work on treadmill to get my lungs working(takes to long to get them used to it, and lungs get tired…

So i can't wear head bands, no matter what kind i get they slip off constantly. What does the trick for me is the most inexpensive and most effective. Part my hair and twist my "bangs" ( mostly just the front on my hair) i twist tightly and used a couple of bobby pins. That does the…

Carbs, 270g protein, 170g fat 50g for when i am working on lower bod C, 240g protien 170g fat 50g So c, 41% P39% F 21% It is high for my weight and height (5'7" 122lbs) but i am building muscle, at the same time i am nursing a 7 month old(so i have to compensate for that). This has worked out great because i have lost fat,…

Dont buy them.... drink sparkling water with flavors, i drink sparkling ice, and it doesn't have the diety taste and its zero calories. All i drink is water and coffee now, at first i would just ache for a soda, and i would drink half and be like igh so much sugar. After a whilr i stopped thinking about it, and i have seen…

Eat before hand, and go for a salad from the salad bar, and do a fruit salad. Even the stir fry stuff has soy sauce and lots of oil, i got a severe stomach ache and bgs going to our local china buffet (ugh), and i ate "lite from the stir fry". You think they may have sushi? That could be a fresh alternative without all the…

Make meals in advance. I cook a bunch of seasoned chicken at once, and i freeze it with a side of rice and mixed veggies. Save me time and money. 2 .5 mins in microwave and you have a healthy meal.

Got it, does seem awkward using smith machine. My barbell is 45 lbs. So i guess that will work for now. I'll look into the exercises you mentioned too. Thanks.
-
@usmcmp i do free weight squats with a barbell, but i am not strong enough to use heavy weights yet. I use the smith machine to help me lift heavier,(hopefully help me get stronger) am i sabotaging my squats with using that machine?
-
You ladies can put a man to shame. Lol. I am so impressed. I havent had the balls to squat that much, i barely get 60 lbs on the smith machine. I just started this a couple of months. How long did it take you guys to start lifting more than your body weight?

Never had a c section myself, but i gave birth to my beautiful baby boy in December, and all i can say is take it easy on your body. 8 wks is far too early for physical training. I recommend by doing only a diet plan for now, so you shed some of that fat. Plus, some of that fat is also water retention from pregnancy. I…

Prisoner squats, they have helped my form a ton. Also squat with a barbell, that keeps your form straight. At least for me it does.

<3, dont focus on the number, focus on what you are doing first. Your meals, and exercise. Once you start getting the rhythm going, you will see inches melting away. It will not be an overnight transformation.

I like this, thanks. :)

I only do it 3 times a wk(sometimes just 2 xs), but thats my choice, i could probably do more. Maybe some else can give some insight, but i go one day on and one day off. I only walk 2 miles, because i am already losing a lot of calories from nursing.
-
Start light and 3-4 sets of 6-10reps. Every wk increase weight and lower your reps. Does it make sense? But only switch to heavy weight once you are ready. Take it slow.
-
Makes sense. Mainly i stretch my sore muscles to loosen up a bit. But i won't do it cold like yall say. I just wonder, what's the point of all that stretching? My friend does it for like 15 minutes after a workout. I thought, man, i must be doing something wrong .
-
Then run run run. :-) . You must be tall then? Its just your body type. My aunt is like 5'11" huge butt small waist, is just a big girl, and by big i dont mean fat, but "big boned "and more dense. I suggest running and diet .
-
I do about an hour to hour and a half daily(but i take my time you could probably take 40 minutes). For five days. Cardio 3 days a week(mainly just fast walking). Day 1: upper body day 2: legs day3: tris, bis, and back day 4: butt and legs day 5: upper body again. Thats the run down of my workouts, i gotta look at my notes…

Try carbs instead, those have energy. I eat a banana during my workouy and a granola bar after. Protein is better taken before a workout. Or try a banana before you start the swim and a bar after.
-
You gotta start somewhere , try jumping rope like rocky ;-).

If I was working out and had a active job I would have to eat more calories a day I understand, but I am working an office job and am currently not working out. So I have to limit my calorie a day due to that. When I start working out again I will increase my calorie intake to make sure my body ha the fuel it needs. I have…

Do more weights than cardio, start with weights end with like 20 mins of cardio. I am a strong believer in strength training before cardio. I have copd as a result, i cannot run as good and cardio basically has me working too hard to breath. Weight lifting has changed my life, cardiovascularly speaking and muscle building…

If you dont wannt to gain muscle then stick to cardio and diet. Why are you eating 1000 cals? Sometimes to lose fat you must eat enough for your body to use your fat as fuel. If you dont eat enough calories for what your body needs, you will plateau and go into starvation mode and start storing fat again. Maybe increase…

You can take the dress in on the sides lol. ;-). Jk. Congrats.

I am 5'7" 122 lbs, and i am at 22% bf (july 1st i measured might be less now) i went to do a bod pod to get an accurate number. (I highly recommend btw). I started my weight loss journey 2 months ago dropped 15 lbs and now im trying to gain muscle. For booty bulking, tons of squats, lunges, bridges, donkey kicks with weigh…

500 calories a day?! 3500 a wk. Yeah unrealistic. 7000 is a 1000 cals. I dont know. Seems unhealthy either way. Have you done a metabolic test to see how many calories you are burning? Once you know that you can see how many calories you need to consume in order to lose. Article seems kooky. From a dr who is not a…
