  • I'm only 20days post op and have lost 23 lbs. Surgery day I was 363.
  • I'm just the opposite, maybe I'm just used to it now. I had read about it and when I started to have it, my first reaction was "yeah, my body's burning fat now".
  • I'm less than a week post op so I haven't eaten out yet. In the past when eating out I may have looked at a heathy(er) option but knew that it wouldn't fill me up and then order something more substantial. I'm looking forward to being able to look at a menu and know anything on there will fill me up! I hope I'm right!
  • I'm now 5 days past surgery. Thanks all for your suggestions. I was so glad to have my pillow in the hospital. Although I didn't need it for the ride home. My Dr. gave me a pain pump that kept giving me a local, that was awesome! Has anyone else had one of those, I haven't seen anything written on the forums about it.
  • Thanks all! Definitely will bring a pillow now! Down to 14 hours. I'm ready!!!!
  • Take your measurements every 2 weeks if you're not doing that already. When you start lifting even if you have a stalled scale, your measurements will show progress.
  • I'm still pre op, but the nutritionist told us that protein was the key to helping with hair loss. I noticed that the Bariatric Advantage protein shakes also have 50% of daily recommended Biotin. Maybe if you start drinking the shakes you'll get benefit from both. I do mix my chocolate with some instant coffee crystals,…
  • Thanks, I think once I get to surgery I'll be ok. For some reason it seems like everyone is posting their food on my FB page today.
  • I made dinner for the family last night, I just made sure I was full from protein shake before I cooked, so I wasn't so tempted. I did have my daughter plate the food and I left to finish payroll for the hub's business. I do feel the need to do this 100%, but I'm also not trying to sabotage myself by smells! If you've ever…
  • I'm on Bariatric Advantage and I mix water/ice/instant coffee powder/vanilla/and 1/2 teaspoon of stevia with the chocolate. I actually like it!! Now to figure out what to put in the orange/vanilla to make it better.
  • Wow, congratulations!!! I'm only day 2 of my pre op regimen. These before and afters are keeping me going!!
  • I got lucky yesterday. Hubby worked late so he picked up something before he got home, one kid went to dinner and movies with friends and the other was working a double shift. On to Day 2!!
