My doctor suggested Vyvanse, but I'm still a little hesitant to try it. I've had a lot of bad experiences with medication, so I prefer to not take it if I don't have to.

I weigh in on Monday mornings before I've had anything to eat and after I've gone to the bathroom. If I do it every day, I get obsessive, and that doesn't fair well for me.

The texture grosses me out so much. I want to eat it because it's obviously so good for me, but yuck. I will eat it dry (i.e. in a granola bar or on my multi-grain bread), though.

@BarneyRubbleMD Thanks for the head's up about the group! I definitely agree that once a binge starts, it's almost impossible to stop, so definitely important to get ahead of them. @timtam163 Logging my food intake was really eye-opening for me as well!

Since I stopped eating meat, I actually haven't had any binges. I was afraid of that also.

@krose4514 Step 3 is what I'm working on right now! I haven't had a binge in a week or so, which is incredible progress for me, but I'm so afraid of slipping up. I'll have to remember 2 and 4 for the next time I feel like I can't stop. Thank you!

Soy milk is pretty good if you aren't a no-soy kind of a person. It's a good source of calcium and protein, and relatively flavorful-- I think it's rather sweet. Keep in mind that most soy is genetically modified. I try to avoid it. Almond milk is my choice, but it is not a good source of calcium or protein. Not everyone…

There's a brewery about 4 hours from my house the has the best beer battered fries on the planet. Worth the drive! Franchise-wise, I think Dairy Queen has the best fries.

My end goal is to not have to eat anything processed or "fake". I am only looking for meat substitutes as I adjust to new protein sources (I have always been a meat eater). I'm struggling a little bit to meet my protein needs, but I'm getting there.

I switched birth controls in February and gained 5 pounds between then and April. I then switched again in April and have gained another 11 pounds since! Both times, my doctor increased my hormone levels, so it definitely caused a shift in my appetite/weight.
