  • Really worried about damaging my kidneys by dry fasting.
  • I do different timeframes every day - that works better for me as firm plans never seem to work out for me. Today I ate 12.30 to 17.30. Low carb mainly, sneaking in a piece of bread pudding. Yesterday 2.30 to 20.30. Love this way of eating, 30 lbs to lose, need to reduce coffee intake and up the water.
  • I wish I could run - my head does not tell my feet - obviously this is a mental thing. So envious of my friend, she says she can run forever and ever.
  • Mashed Brussels sprouts, with butter, nutmeg, salt and pepper - Made up in patties and cooked in butter. That is the only good thing about autumn/ winter in the UK, Brussels sprouts are in season.
  • Some E Additives and artificial sugars (very present in European processed foods) have been proved to cause organs' inflammation - well if you believe various articles read in French and Swiss health journals. Of course I know that I should avoid processed foods but these foods are making it easy to reach my goal. I know I…
  • When tempted with my favourite foods (cake, chocolates) I try to think about the old English phrase "A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" , i That kind of works for me when tempted!
  • Hi - count me in. From England - 28 lbs to lose.
  • Forgive my ignorance - quite new to this. What do PR and CKD stand for? Many thanks.
  • I had promised myself that I will have a cheat day only when I reach my ideal weight - I am still 28 lbs away from goal. I have a cheat day a week mainly eating fruit (Bananas), a toastie or hot cross bun and chocolate. Unlike other members, I do not feel crap afterwards. I will never be a "purist" following LCHF, annoying…
  • I am going to check out The Ordinary products. This is making big news here in the UK, described as "Top drawer skincare for less than £5".
  • Great. Where do I find it in Asda? I thought it was fresh?
  • Years ago, I took Tenuate Dospan appetite suppressants - it was great for a while, I would spring clean the whole house in the middle of the night in two hours. I would also talk endlessly and hardly slept. I was prescribed them by a doctor operating from a grotty surgery in a grotty part of London who had an enormous…
  • When I have money Kiehls super corrective cream, when I have not a mix of olive oil and honey massaged in before shower.
  • From memory, ladies in the Caribbean come in two types - the young and bodies to die for and the not so young with voluptuous to very voluptous bodies. You and me probably fit in the last category. Just walk on the beach and roll those hips with confidence and learn how to wrap your sarong or wrap 30 different ways. Until…
  • Love this - so wise.
  • SW. 204 CW. 172 GW. 140 and size 12 UK
  • Could you just not forget about LC for three weeks and focus on fresh fish, vegetables and anything else in small portions? I did this whist I visited my grandchildren in California for a month and ended up putting only 1 lb - which was fine for me. I am going to Florida for three weeks next month and will do the same.…
  • Soupe verte 1 large onion 1 celeri (use leaves) 1 carrot 3 large zuchinni 2 large leeks (I use 2 cups of frozen leeks) 1 chicken stock cube 50 grs butter Salt pepper 2 pints water Cut all vegs in small chunks Fry them in butter gently (do not let get them brown) Add water and stock cube, salt and pepper Cook for 35 mins…
  • I have lost around 30 lbs on low carb in around 4.5 months - but during that weight loss journey I have binged on several occasions - I am not proud of it, but it is what it is. I also know that I will always love cakes, bread ( bread is amazing where I live in the UK) and chocolate (I am Belgian) and occasionally I have…
  • A favourite: I hard boil 3 eggs, cool them, cut them in two and scoop the yolks. I then mix the yolks with the canned salmon, some Mayonnaise, salt, pepper a bit of chopped parsley. I stuffed this mixture back in the white halves and refrigerate. Serve the eggs on lettuce leaves. So good! Serve with French bread orFrench…
  • I am so good at decluttering stuff, getting rid of unused stuff, etc. why is it so hard to declutter my excess weight?
  • He has the third bedroom and the loft. I try to follow one of the rules of decluttering "only declutter your own stuff" but I have thrown away some of his stuff. He has never noticed. I get rid of books read; just keep 3 cooking books, - I limit myself to less than 10 pairs of shoes and 3 handbags. If the house was robbed,…
  • I love clean clear spaces and I am for ever decluttering and streamlining - what drives me to overeat though is my partner - he is a hoarder because of his many hobbies - the worst one is his wargaming - there are little soldiers in all our rooms.
  • Mine really silly - it is from a great holiday my partner and I had in Mississippi. We visited Chattanooga and Vicksburg (war sites). In gas stations , convenience shops, diners people would call us "Bubba". Sure it was friendly term - 1922 is the year of birth of my lovely father ( now deceased).
  • Ditto here - gone off the rails after spending 10 days in the US being with the granchildren. Gave myself a week to get over the jet lag and going low carb again. Today has been shocking, Cadbury wholenut (big bar), Malt loaf (a whole one) and spag bol - did not even enjoy it. I want to get back on track sooner than later.…
  • In the UK -I like Atkins meal mint bar - it is like having a handful of After Eight mint chocolates - so good, good sugar craving fix for me, no after taste, downside it is £2 a bar and of course highly processed.
  • Amazing - what a lovely picture of you and your girls!
  • Yeah - not magnesium we use here in foot baths or in my school lab!!
  • Pills - under the umbrella f vitamin supplement.
