Like kgirl said, after the initial side effects subsided, I've noticed no change in my appetite either way. There is another side effect that's bothering me enough that I'll be talking to the doc about trying something else, but that's TMI for this board, I think.

Fred Meyers had a boxes of singles. Grabbed one for each of the teen boys for their "basket" and one for me.

I bought myself one of those, and one peanut butter egg. I'm making them fit.

1200 is the minimum for females. 1500 is the minimum for males. http://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/410332-how-does-myfitnesspal-calculate-my-initial-goals- "We do not recommend women consume fewer than 1200 calories per day, or men fewer than 1500 calories per day. Eating too little can produce…

After surgery is not the time to be in a deficit as far as I know. Your body needs the energy to heal. And you will probably go up immediately following due to swelling and fluids from the IV. I'd suggest eating at maintenance for awhile.

It's your choice. Do your best to lose what you can, regardless of how slowly it goes. Or. Give up because it seems like an insurmountable task and be the same weight, if not more, a year from now. That time is going to slip by us whether we're trying or not. What will feel better to you? Being lighter/healthier, or in the…

I'm trying to wrap my brain around this comment. Calorie Counting is how I'm reducing my weight. MFP is the tool that I use to track it without having to write everything out and use math. (*shudder... math*) Neither of these are fads. If MFP were to disappear tomorrow I would still be able to lose weight because I've…

I started this process on April 19, 2015, which was a Sunday. I record my weight in MFP every Sunday. I weigh daily and log into two different apps. (Libra and Fitbit so if something ever happens to my phone I'll have a record of them somewhere.) What I answer depends on who's asking. My mom and husband get the exact…

I've needed medication to control my high blood pressure since I was 18 and an active 135 pounds. No known cause, it's just there. I have high hopes that I can reduce the amount of meds I take when I lose all my weight, but I am fully aware I will never get off them. There are many reasons for high bp. Your doc should work…

I usually just work what I'm craving into my day in a smaller amount. Enough so I'm not feeling deprived in any way, but not so much that I'm not still within my calories for the most part. I'm not perfect (yesterday I went over my deficit amount by a little over 600 calories, but as I'm averaging a 2 lb loss per week…

You should log everything you eat. How else will you be able to look back and see what was going on? Plus you'll never know if you're blowing the whole week's deficit if you aren't keeping track.

I wish women's pant sizes were like men's... knowing your waist/inseam would be much easier and more consistent when buying jeans!

Regardless of stats, the minimum for males should be 1500 calories from a nutrition standpoint. Don't stress over how fast you can lose, but make sure you're losing while eating at a level you can be comfortable and happy with. Plug your stats into MFP and follow what it tells you, eating back 50-75% of your exercise…

When the numbers on the scale dictated how I felt about myself and if I was going to give up or keep going, it was a bad idea. Once that number didn't dictate my self-worth, it actually became quite helpful to see the daily numbers. If I'm up on my official MFP weekly weigh-in, or the same, seeing the daily fluctuations…

Age 41, 5'0.5". HW 272, SW 261, CW 189, GW 120. My face, back, lower arms, and lower legs have lost the most noticeably. My hips/stomach have gone down a bit, as have my boobs, which is evidenced by my smaller clothes, but my upper arms, upper thighs, and hips/stomach are still pretty big. Of course, I have 65-75 still to…

I have to weigh out 1-2 servings for my snack when I've got them and put the bag away else I'll mindlessly eat them all.

Everyone's covered it and you're already going to address what the issue may be, so I'm just going to say: Congrats on your loss so far! That's an amazing amount and I imagine you feel SO much better even if you are frustrated by the stall. Getting rid of those pounds makes a world of difference. Also, that's fantastic…

I unfollowed both but they're still all the topics shown in the "recently posted" bit. <--- Sad Panda

Ate everything I wanted and was still under my limit (albeit by 8 calories).

I've not seen PB2, but I did get a jar of PBFit at Sam's. I've only ever used it to add to shakes or cottage cheese. I've not reconstituted it to use as peanut butter. I'd rather just use half a serving of real peanut butter!

Doc put me on that mid-December for my anxiety. All it did was make me tired while my body got used to it. I continue to eat 1200-1500 calories a day, I still work out 4-5 days a week, and I am still losing (41yo, 5'1/2"). I also started a low-dose BC pill to be used continuously to control a uterine issue 5 days ago and…

*tosses Pamprin and dark chocolate at rabbitjb and runs* I hear ya. I'm nervous about hitting goal for those reasons exactly. Thankfully, I'm only halfway there. (70 pounds gone, 70 to go) Plenty of time to work on it! Hope you feel better soon.

Daily into Libra; every Sunday into MFP (except the weekend that the earthquake borked my scale).

There may be enough successful people on this site to not be anomalies for this population, but when you consider them against the world at large, or even just the people who try to lose weight in the world at large, they can be considered anomalies, imo. I fully intend to be one of those anomalies.

I was that way for years and years. It finally clicked for me last April and I've been doing it ever since. When you're really ready it will happen.
