What are your stats? Age height current weight etc. How do you measure your servings and what are your macros set at?
  • Are you measuring everything with a scale? Measuring cups? Eyeballing it?

Regardless of stats, the minimum for males should be 1500 calories from a nutrition standpoint. Don't stress over how fast you can lose, but make sure you're losing while eating at a level you can be comfortable and happy with.

Plug your stats into MFP and follow what it tells you, eating back 50-75% of your exercise calories (since your deficit is built in w/o exercise, MFP expects you to eat to fuel your workouts).

Alternatively, you can go to a site like Scooby's Workshop and plug in your stats there and let it tell you what you should eat daily based on what activity you tell it you'll do. In this case you do not eat back your exercise calories because it is assuming you're doing those workouts when it gives you your calorie target.

Whichever way you choose to find your number, you can be sure you're eating properly if you weigh your food and choose the most accurate items from the database. Good luck!
