I invested in insoles...not super expensive but bought from a running store along with good shoes and my feet are so much better now!

Consider intervals...for example run 5 minutes and then walk 1-2 minutes. This will give you a cardio workout yet also give you a break when walking. It seams distance is how much you will burn...in other words 1 mile equals 100 cals burned if I run or walk HOWEVER it takes me almost 20 mins to walk it compared to 10 mins…

circuit training is similar

With cardio machines, you are not putting your full weight onto the foot/shoe as you would with running. You should get a lot more miles then running. Go by how your foot feels, usually you can tell when they start to break down.

I was just using that for an example, for example run 7 mile this week then 8 and then maybe 9 I have ran 10 miles but it's been a few months due to lack of time, just didn't know what a reasonable long run goal before a half would be.

I just count it as regular walking or running...and the extra burn is just my plus lol There use to be an option on mfp for walking while pushing stroller

are you talking of white sauce? I mixed fat free Greek yogurt with ranch dressing and it was yummy...still a bit high in calories but lower then a normal ranch pizza. I also hear people use coli flowers but aim not that brave lol

Haha that makes sense ☺

10 is really good average imo...how far you planning on running? I found with time and more miles and speed sprints have helped me

I usually log somewhere around 300 calories for 1 hour of crossfit...but you need to play around with it and see how it affects your weight loss. some people do zero calories burned as suggested above, I belive I need to eat a bit more on days I do crossfit but that jmo

Here is an idea. see what kind of membership that crossfit offers...some have punch cards like 15 classes for $150 or so much for 2 or 3 days a week. So you could make the long commute once or twice a week and do the gym close by the other days.

They have halo at Costco??

I love the insanity workouts! I hardly get to do them mainly because I have to move furniture around for room and I do crossfit everyday anyway. But days I can't make it out to the gym, insanity is awesome! This post is making me want to do put a dvd in right now ;)

Hire a personal trainer or try crossfit. I use to hide in the corner on the cardio machines or the back of class. I did some crossfit and learned alot and feel confident walking in any gym now. If you do some personal training they also will show you have to use equipment so you can be more confident in the gym

I currently do crossfit 6 days per week and run 5 days per week (usually add up 20-25 per week). Strength training (lifting ) has helped a ton! They work good together because running can losen up your muscles that get tight from the lifting. It may be easier to do running before lifting if you do the same day. As far as…

Love crossfit! Tried alot of things in the fitness world and crossfit is the only thing I came back to and hopefully to stay. As a women wieght lifting and going into the normal gym weight section is very intimidating. Crossfit breaks that fear. Being with a strong group is amazing and the fact that its a community that…
