What are your goals for these races? If you want to go all out, try to PR ect than I wont do all 3. However, if you just want to participate and not go crazy trying to PR you would be fine. For example, the first half run go slightly slow and easy just to finish. Then if you feel good the following weekend, go faster and…

Watch your form on deadlifts...do you have someone watching you do the lists? You may want to work on core strength as well
-
Try it! I love how it's always different workouts and you get a good sweat in an hour class.
-
We did that one on labor day! I actually really enjoyed it maybe because it includes things I'm stronger in- running and strict pull ups, I have yet to figure out kipping so I struggle with high volume pull ups lol I actually love all the hero WODs....they are tough but with it!
-
Have you done a half? The biggest thing I noticed with long runs is everything starts to suck lol things rub, feet hurt, blisters, skin rubbing off (get some good glide lol). I have my first Marathon in September...and questioning my choices lol
-
Check out some YouTube videos on breathing. What worked for me is deep breath and holding in for 2-3 seconds then slow out. The videos make more sense...find what works! And start out slow with running doing walk/run intervals

Usually you can get away with one ear bud.....so you can still hear

I would try crossfit in your area...some offer a free week..its a community so more encouragement to get in there and get the workout done!

I am trying for a Marathon this fall! Done 2 trial half marathons and one paved. Just did a timed 6 hour trail run at night, 21 miles. I use to be obese as well, pretty much all my life! I took a weight lifting class in college and struggled to do a warm up lap around the gym. I'm not fast by any means, but most my runs…

I'm aiming for a Marathon this fall!

Murph this year...ripped hands around the half way point- like bad ripped(blood dripping off the pull up bar bad)- not complaining, just missing my skin. But managed to only be 17 seconds longer then last year at 51:03. And my first 1 mile was done in under 8 minutes!

It's your second class...dont be so hard on yourself! It gets better ;-) there are still some things I struggle with and have to modify after 2.5 years
-
Did scaled...705 reps. My one calf was so tight and sore the next day I couldn't walk.lol
-
I did 6 rounds and 3 toes to bar. My goal was 4 rounds so I was thrilled lol It my first time actually signed up for open and I did this one RX!
-
I suggest you get your hair anylisis and fitted....well worth the money! Likely your shoes are too small. You usually want a size bigger in running shoes
-
I run 30-50 miles per week...slow but still a runner ;-)

My husband (that is older then me) always says, they are your feet how much are they worth? He didn't care and then as he for older he had to have insole to support his feet(We are talking $600 plus doc bills, x rays ect). Running too many years in crap shoes can result in foot doctor bills when you get older. Yes not…

this....I use to do negatives in the warm up but still needed the band for the actual workout. Even try negatives with the band

I crossfit and run 6 days a week during summer months...just make sure you are eatting enough especially carbs and you will be fine.
-
Go to goals on your app for my fitness pal. Set your weight, height and activity level (based on what you do most of the day) that will give you a general ballpark. And depending on how much you run you may need to log calories burned and eat back some.
-
I trained for a ultra half (14.5 miles) while doing crossfit and running 25-40 miles 6 days per week. I believe the crossfit and weight lifting helped alot...especially since it was a trail run and was all hills at a higher elevation then I was use to. You might want to look into what is more important to you...on days of…

Nothing wrong with taking a break or even an active break (maybe a walk or modifying workout). I have no idea what your calories or macros look like, but sometimes adding more carbs can help with energy especially on workout days. Be sure you are drinking enough water as well. There are alot of things that can cause your…

I was one of those crazy people that did 6 days per week first thing...BUT I feel that when I go less, maybe 3 days a week, I push myself more. When I go everyday, sometimes I am sore from the day before so I modify or do something different, less weight, ect. On the other side, I hated missing the other days and missing…

at least 200 pounds...wow!! There is an option walking pushing a stroller with mfp but I think that is with a single. I only push a double when I run and thats tough enough for me!
-
I would try crossfit...depending on the gym there are alot of beginners that are super out of shape. Usually they offer a on ramp class for beginners as well. Don't be intimated if the first crossfit gym doesn't work for you, some are more competive then others. The one I go to is wonderful for beginners!
-
nothing wrong with that pace! keep doing it if you like it
-
And what I mean by insoles are custom made from the doctor...they are $$$ but worth it!
-
Do you have good insoles? My husband has flat feet and since having insoles made he has no issues from flat feet
-
I would just walk for now, because sounds like running will cause pain and injury. However even with walking get good shoes and maybe even insoles if you haven't already. Running stores can look at your running gate and help you find shoes that will work best for you... even if you don't end up running, its good to know…

First that was an example, I said do what works for her. Second I said "I" based on what I know 'I' burn the same amount running or walking...I guess I don't run fast enough to reach your stated amount of twice the calories.
