  • Thanks i love this idea :) i'm super hungry so i'm looking for more of a meal than a snack anyway, and after i hit the eliptical i should have about 500 cals left for the day. Thanks to everyone else too i can never have enough nacho recipes!
  • :flowerforyou: Love this idea, those sandwich thins are awesome! For busy mornings i have a Kellogs fiber plus bar (any kind) and a cup of chobani greek yogurt with half a banana sliced on top. Fills me up, satisfies my morning sweet tooth, and lasts for hours.
  • laughing cow light swiss cheese melted over green beans, black bean soup with cilantro and hot sauce, avacado, shrimp cocktail
  • Just want to say i'm sorry. At my heaviest i was 172 - at 9 months pregnant - so i've never been "the fat girl" to anyone except my own mirror. But i've felt your sadness, your lack of hope, and your frustration so many times. We are all in this together, and we can change. It's easy to have shining moments of optimism,…
  • Thank you!
  • Thanks guys, i love the support i get here. I'm going to have a light healthy dinner tonight, and try to get some excersise in. Wish it wasn't raining here, a run would feel good. I have some bad habits and i know they won't dissapear over night, and setbacks are part of the journey. If a could only lose a few…
  • I buy groceries weekly, and stock up on my favorite go to meals. I buy canned beans, brown rice, fruits and veggies, etc. I plan what i will eat (including snacks) the night before. Then i do my best to stick to it. My daughter is only 15 months old, and my BF works in a restaurant and is a hopeless fast food junkie so...…
  • I have the same problem before meals. If i'm not willing to use up calories that i'm saving for meal time, i'll have a cup of coffee or tea, followed by a taste of sugar - like a mint, stick of gum, or a jolly rancher. This seems to really help me when im working. Veggies are also a great idea. Try a little protien boost,…
  • I think that it's ok for you to lose 3 pounds a week, it makes sense when you consider your starting weight, calorie intake, frequent excersise, plus the Alli. That blocks a good percentage of fat from entering your system, so i'd say as long as you don't feel hungry or weak, keep up the good hard work and enjoy the…
  • Geez 10 pounds! You must be jacked by now
  • I've never tried either. Had my stomach pumped once a long time ago, and it was the most unpleasent experience of my life. I figure there must be some benefit of the colonics though otherwise why would anyone subject themselves to it?
  • I watched that Penn and Teller thing too. They make some good points, gotta admit. When i buy groceries, i only buy a few things organic. Vegetables whose skin i eat like apples, tomatoes, etc... all leafy greens, eggs, milk, and beans. When i ate meat i would only buy it from a local farm whose practices of raising and…
  • What a great idea! I work in an E.R and it seems every day there is pizza, doughnuts, cookies, chips, bagels etc... so tempting when you're on a 12 hour shift with little time for a decent meal and tons of stress. I've been stashing my purse with healthy snacks, but it would be great if we could come together over trays of…
  • Today was my third day doing the shred. I haven't decided when to change levels, 1 is kicking my butt! 10 days sounds like a good amount of time for each, that way you split a month evenly. Maybe after 30 straight days i'll switch to 3 days a week. I use 3 pound weights.
  • You and i have the same taste  I also love laughing cow light swiss cheese, non fat greek yogurt, grapes, and pickles
  • That all sounds delicious. I'm a vegetarian too and i love mexican style food. Thanks!

  • I might be about to make every one mad at me, but i hope not! I'm 5'7", 26 yrs old, and i have a narrow frame. My weight this morning was 120.6, and my goal weight is 113. I like how i look, i'm just trying to tone up. I was 117 before i had my daughter last year, i never dieted or excersised at all, and i felt healthy and…
  • Great! I know how great it feels to not see that dreaded muffin top peeking out and be stoked! Numbers on a scale never mean as much as being satisfied with my reflection. Congrats on your accomplishment, and keep moving forward
  • :blushing: Sweet idea! I weigh myself on Fridays, so now i'll make sure i pencil in some love time every Thursday night. Burns more calories than shredding with Jillian Michaels, and i enjoy it ever so much more... Thanks for the info i'd been wondering about this!
  • That's fantastic, congrats!! Keep up the good work, i envy your positive attitude:bigsmile:
  • You all made me feel better - thank you. I'm going for 2 pounds a week, but i doubt i'll even lose 1 this week. I actually did excersise today, ran for half an hour. I haven't done that in 10 years. AND i bought the 30 day shred dvd, going to start in the morning.
  • Great advice, thanks! I love this thread because this probably my biggest problem too:grumble: I just bought a bunch of the 100 cal popcorn, in different flavors, and i've been making sure i save 100 of my daily calories for that hour right before bed. So far it's been doing the trick - tastes great and makes me feel nice…
  • Thanks for the correction! I've been wondering about that, since i drink about 4 8oz cups of coffee a day. I'm going to start counting those as water cups, Yay! Unfortunately, i can't drink black coffee, but i've cut back on the massive amounts of flavored creamer i was using, and now i have 2 tbs of nonfat hazlenut per…

  • Thanks for the welcome, i  this site so much already - what a powerful tool! I think i will check again in the morning, and see how i feel about it. I'm trying to think of this as a marathon, since i tend to sprint towards most things in life. I know this will take a while, but seeing results would sure be…
  • I almost never have trouble eating, even when i'm sick. My favorite comfort food is nachos smothered in cheese, refried beans, hot sauce and sour cream. I also love a nice big wedge of soft brie cheese and a glass of welchs' grape juice:heart: Being sick makes we want to alternate between long soaks in the tub and naps on…
  • Great advice
  • I don't have any great ideas, just wanted to say that i feel your pain. My mom has the same chuncky upper arms as me, and so does her mom... it's totally genetic in our case. I noticed after my daughter was born some defenition in my upper body that i hadn't seen in a very long time. Even though lugging her around has made…
