  • Do it, I did a Trail half marathon a couple of weeks ago and it was great! Was in a similar situation to you in January, you'll be fine 😀
  • If I were to try to give up chocolate completely, for any length of time, eventually I would crack and eat massive amounts. Whereas if I just have a little bit, when I want some, I'm much less bingey. Same applies to pizza, cake etc. I am trying to develop and maintain good, balanced eating habits- which means a little of…
  • I appreciate time for the training might be difficult, but how about suggesting triathlons/aquathons for fun? The cross training involved might help even things out. Normalizing the look is a good point, is there a cross fit gym near you? Once or twice a week in that environment or similar might help. I used to teach…
  • I did a half marathon, yay!
  • I just had to order new prescription sunglasses because of this! Could not work out why they wouldn't stay on my face, then had a moment of clarity, I'm almost 3 stone smaller than when I bought the old ones. Annoying and cool...this weight loss business is proving expensive.
  • Yes, always. Come on in, the water's lovely.
  • I run for food, for the being in the countryside, and the accomplishment. Every other part of my life involves other people co-operating and showing up, but the run is just me. Whether I stand or fall is on me, I find that motivating and empowering. Helps me maintain faith in my own ability to do anything.
  • I love this! I have always been overweight and a swimmer. I decided many years ago that if someone else's biggest problem was the size of my a*se then good for them, I have other stuff to do 😀 You both look gorgeous in the pic x
  • I am doing a Trail half marathon 12th August, and training has been very lack lustre the last couple of weeks. It's been unnaturally hot here in the UK. Found a new route in the local country park this morning though, and did 8 miles. Feels like it's back on track.
  • A few things that have helped me, find a club with a beginner's night, and/ or a pal to go out with. It helps keep the commitment. Find somewhere nice to go if you can, I will do miles on a Trail, get bored on the road. Cool music, or very good audio books/ podcasts. Gotta keep going to find out what happens! I have no…
  • This year is our 10th wedding anniversary. We are off to sunny California in September, and will spend a couple of days in Vegas. I want to look hot and make him proud. I know he is anyway, but would be great if I could get back to where I was when we met 😉
  • I live in UK, and am off to California in September. Today I bought a bikini :) First goal is 7lbs by end of June, longer term looking hot by the pool in 4 months! So next week, I will log properly and stay under. I will run 3 times and do my favourite 2 gym classes. It's on.
  • I like to make a veggie sausage roll. Jus rolled frozen pastry vegan and use fancy stuffing mix for filling. Easy to make ahead and eat cold, travels well. Others will probably want to share :)
