  • What's your reason for doing Whole30? Weight loss is an added benefit but not the sole reason to do the program. I did it in March to see if food was the reason my face was breaking out. Knowing I was doing this for medical reasons was my best and only motivation. :) (Food wasn't the issue for me, in the end. Turned out to…

  • I'm a long distance runner taking a break for awhile because it causes hamstring pain. :( While I'm getting that taken care of, I'm doing a mixture of PiYo and Turbofire! Today was Fire 55 EZ, which will help with all the birthday cake I'm going to consume today. :)
  • I haven't used protein powder in overnight oats, but for regular oatmeal I like putting in chocolate protein powder, PBFit, bananas, and pecans/ walnuts. I'm sure it would work fine cold, though!
  • I'd been a big coffee and soda drinker for years. A few years ago, and also within the last couple months, I started getting heart palpitations after drinking caffeine. My doctor couldn't find anything wrong, so this most recent time I cut caffeine completely and only drink decaffeinated coffee and soda. Have you…
  • I was mad when I found this out because I had already planned to get one tomorrow after my 11 mile run! I'll still get one anyway - my local donut shop has a Blue's Clues donut, which is a blueberry cake donut with blue icing. SO GOOD.
  • Great job! It took me a year and a half after I hit my goal to stop logging (just stopped a couple months ago), but I still track dinner just to keep things in check. I kinda figure my running will keep my calories balanced, and so far it's working. :)
  • Today only, Kroger has Stacy' s pita chips and Sabra hummus for only $1.49 with digital coupons! I'm getting a couple today. :)
  • 1/2 cup of cottage cheese with wheat crackers, or string cheese with crackers typically keep me full. Both snacks are right around 200 calories each. I also just discovered I like 2 rice cakes with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and a small banana. That's around 250 calories.
  • Double chocolate chip. The huge ones, like what you'd find in a multi pack at Sam's Club!
  • www.eatthismuch.com You enter in your calories and macros, and it'll generate a day's meal plan for you. I haven't actually used it, just messed around to get ideas. But maybe it's something that can help you!
  • Thank you for this thread! I recently discovered the term volume eater for myself and I'm getting good ideas here. In addition to the giant salads, I add a whole bag of coleslaw mix to my Asian dishes and just cook it along with the chicken and other veggies. That right there makes for a huge meal!
  • I tried the chocolate and it's not too bad. In smoothies and in baking it's okay, but it has a weird texture when putting it in Oatmeal and Greek yogurt. I think I'd rather stick with Natures Bounty next time!
  • I took before and after photos, which I really recommend doing! This is over a 2-year time span and I'm still going. This is mainly from PiYo, no other strength training; and a mixture of walking/running/Turbofire.
  • I've been doing PiYo since May 2015 and love it! That, combined with 10,000 steps a day and eating better, helped me lose 25 pounds. I still do it to increase my strength and help me stretch combined with running. I didn't do the food plan either, but I highly recommend the workouts!
  • Was it at least worth it, taste wise? Tomorrow's my anniversary date, and we're having 5 Guys for dinner and Cheesecake Factory for dessert. I'll be consuming almost 4,000 calories for the day, but at least there will be no regrets! :)
  • Thank you for your insight! Looks like it'll be worth a try, anyway.
  • Luckily, I only get it maybe twice a year, but cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Any kind that's full of chocolate and peanut butter. I'm not sharing, and there's no way I'm taking any of it home, so I stuff my face till I explode. :)
  • Greek yogurt is on my list almost weekly. I can get a 2-pack of the 32-ounce containers for only $5.00. :)
  • I gained 40 pounds with my daughter, and kept 20 of it for 18 months after she was born. Started weight loss in May 2015 and reached my goal January 2016, and have lost a little more since then! It's hard, especially with those extra hormones, but it's definitely possible. You've got this! :)
