My suggestion: don't take the Cervelo. Get an errand-running bike that you won't have so much invested in and it won't be upsetting if something happens to it. I thought all cyclists had multiple bikes. Maybe we need another bike porn thread.

While I don't log my motorcycle rides, some of them can be hard work. Cold day, thirty miles fighting a strong crosswind and when I pulled over to take a breather, my leg collapsed. I wore those bruises for two months.

I remember my grandparents getting commodities (they also lived on the reservation). The cheese made fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches.

Yes, hair loss was one of my symptoms before being diagnosed with hypothyroidism.
-
So beautiful. Is that the lake you've swam in from your other photos?
-
I think the scariest thing I've seen driving was a woman holding a cell phone with one hand and gesturing with the other.

I started doing this (thanks to a suggestion from another MFP member) and haven't had any achilles problems since. I don't like getting on the floor, so I do it sitting in a chair with the foam roller on a stool. https://youtube.com/watch?v=yeNQXu9r2nQ
-
When my achilles is troublesome I limit myself to cycling.
-
I thought there was something wrong with me because I can't take a sip of water without lurching into the wall while on the treadmill. :)
-
Most enjoyable achievement was riding 20 miles, but this morning I ran for 2 miles which is pretty major for me.
-
Finally measured myself for a new bra size...discovered my old sports bras are 6" too long.
-
I started doing these last week, hoping to avoid recurring achilles pain. No foot pain since...staying hopeful.

I can relate to what your daughter is saying because I remember how it felt to go for a walk with co-workers and they kept stopping and waiting for me, but then pushed ahead immediately so I couldn't even talk to them. It was humiliating and I never forgot nor ever went with them again. Maybe you could try walking…
-
I took a planned 2 week break two months ago. I also felt burnt out, so maybe I would have struggled even without the break, but I'm just now getting my determination back. I thought I could easily return to my routine after the break; I was wrong.

Sharing quirks: grilled cheese sandwiches must be cut diagonally. I dig down as far as possible on one side of a jar of peanut butter, leaving the other half untouched as long as I can. No idea why.

My husband knew someone who did a beer diet. No food, just beer. That ended when at work his bowels released their contents as liquid down his legs.

Update: I replaced the Townie seat and it's made a big difference. Took some adjusting because I sit on it completely different. Also bought the chamois butter for the 'long' rides. Learned the hard way to tighten the seat fully. Couple miles from home went over a bump and the nose went way up.
-
I bought it for my back problems, which have gone away with losing weight and exercise anyway. Ha. I may just be shaped strange because my recumbent stationary bike hurts my butt after about an hour also. I've ordered a saddle from Terry Bicycles to see if a completely different style helps (and some chamois butter).

This morning I cycled 13 miles; my farthest ride to date. Came home to a fist-bump from my son. Yesterday I shoveled dirt into my new raised strawberry bed and my back doesn't hurt today!
-
I rode 6 miles on the bike today - the farthest I've ever gone. When I told my son he said he loves bragging about my progress on facebook and said that 'even though you don't look like it, I think of you as an athlete.' Lol
-
My current goal is to recover from this foot injury without having my food going off the rails just because my exercise is stalled.
-
I hear you. I just wish I could find a position where my foot didn't hurt even at rest.
-
This is a good reminder to check my belly band. I may have actually lost enough weight that it will be too big. (9mm Beretta 92 FS compact)
-
Mostly good unless I need a rest day. My body lets me know in no uncertain terms when that's the case.
-
Lol, I was fantasizing about cheese also.
-
What's fascinating about this discussion to me are the differences in what people find sexually attractive. I've never reacted at all to someone's outward appearance, but have gone weak-kneed around a genius-level intellect.
-
I fit into size 22 pants today! Last year I was wearing 32s.
-
Has this really devolved into who is better at sex? Lol. Well, based on my experience, size really doesn't matter. What did matter was a combination of experience, generosity, and chemistry.

I got the results from my blood work. Cholesterol levels all in the good ranges and an A1C of 5.7!

While everyone is different, usually the digestive system will adjust to Metformin within a month or two. I have trouble with high fat foods still, so avoid things like greasy pizza.
