  • Yikes! Good luck and rest as you need to! I'll be crossing my fingers that in 8 weeks the issue will resolve itself. And also congrats on a big footed healthy baby  Also, based on your user name I assume you are from Chicago? Same here! Little more Chicago baby love.

  • Well today was the big day! First was a healthy scan with everything looking normal. And then we got to find out we are having a GIRL!!! Apparently she also has big feet like me as the tech noted before finding the sex that "it better be a boy with those big feet" ha ha ha!
  • I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and can wear normal pants, but maternity pants are just a bit more comfortable with various bloat times. I'm short and tend to wear higher banded pants so the expanding panel is easier than always buttoning and unbuttoning. I think I made the official switch around 16 weeks. I am still wearing all of…
  • My 20 week is Monday, June 12th as well! I'm excited to see a bigger fetus version from the 12 weeks, but also nervous already for everything to be okay. Just 3 more days!
  • YIKES, 5'2 with a 10 pound baby?! I heard each baby after is bigger so a C section sounds like a saving grace! You should be especially fine since you lost it the last time! I had lost 50 pounds right before getting pregnant so I also didn't have much time to enjoy my slimmer self. We are in the same boat there! I had a…

This week seems to be the…
  • Congrats on a healthy baby and healthy mama!

  • Gotcha! I have a large frame so my doctor specifically told me 25-30 to ensure I eat enough. I brought up that technically I am overweight and she said anything less is too little for me personally.
  • Did your doctor tell you to gain 15 or is your personal goal 15? We are the same height and about the same starting weight. 15 just seems low for our height and weight for a whole baby!
  • I'm 10/28 too :) Find out the sex 6/12 and I am DYING to know! The wait is excruciating.
  • Looks we are on the same schedule! End of October due date? :) I hear you for retaining water, seems like anything I do causes that as well!

But this week I am feeling normal again and not like a bottomless pit so I'm going to…

It's like my stomach is an unfillable pit. I'm hoping this hunger can slow…

  • Hello other MFP's currently on a hiatus from losing weight! I decided to start posting on this board once I hit the second trimester - and here I am. Just prior to getting pregnant I lost 50 pounds, so this is a weird adjustment to gain weight. But I hope to gain 25-30 which will still put at me 20-25 LESS than my highest…
  • If your picture is how you look, don't let them tell you that! You look AMAZING!!!! Keep those toxic people out of your life!
  • I posted a few months ago, but have since lost another 5, bringing me to 45 pounds lost total.
  • I tend to do the same exercises and have found that eating back about half, or for me 150 calories, is my sweet spot. In doing so I keep myself fueled for future workouts while also still losing.
  • Happy Birthday! I live in a big city and the majority of my social functions involve alcohol which doesn't bother me at all. I fairly often will do happy hours, birthdays and other events at bars. I have been able to lose 45 pounds all while drinking, just in moderation (a drink or two... or three a night in those events)…
  • Agreed with adding protein! I eat about 25 grams of carbs worth of oatmeal and then a few chicken breakfast sausage links or some turkey bacon. That will hold me over until well into lunch.

  • After finally getting to the test results I don't have a lot of money leftover for more professional visits. That would be my first choice, just not an option at this point unfortunately.
  • My goal is to increase calories slightly to maintenance, I also thought to keep the same ratio as now, just worried about overall counts, you know? I do cardio 3 days a week (3 mile run, 4 mile walk, or elliptical) as well as various Jillian Michaels toning DVD's (No More Trouble Zones, Yoga Burn, 30DS or RI30) or various…
  • Stay normal, but also listen to your body. You might be less hungry the next day. If that is true then eat accordingly, if not don't starve! The last time I ate more than I intended for the day the next day I ate only my meals and no snacks because I was not hungry for them. Third day was completely normal.

  • How you will be putting away laundry and think "this can't fit me" when folding a pair of jeans. And then somehow it does!
  • 5'3.5 pear started at 200 - family and very close friends said something early (10-15 pounds gone) as they knew I was trying. General friends and others started to say something around 30 gone and now with 44 gone I get a LOT of comments from friends and acquaintances. I have lost over 8 months roughly. Also for reference…
  • I have PCOS. With counting calories alone it took 5 months to lose 5 pounds total (progress was still progress), then I went low carb (120 grams or less, which isn't THAT low) and I have lost up to 2 lbs a week, depending on cycle, plateaus, etc. I went from 200 to 155 and feel SO much better! My cycle also went from…
