My 2nd baby was breech until the last few weeks. We were nervous about it but then one night we saw this crazy activity going on under my shirt and it was crazy(!). My husband said that the baby probably turned around with how crazy it looked and at the next appointment we found out baby had turned and was head down.

I think I'm just nervous because it's my first, and I really don't know what to expect. I'm hoping to have similar experience though. You give me hope it can happen!

With as much sodium as I consumed this weekend, I'm honestly surprised it's not worse.

Any ideas on how to flip my breach baby? I wasn't worried for the longest time, but she's like three pounds now, and I'm afraid she's running out of space to turn around. Plus, I would love to get her head out of my left ribs!

My friend (last October) had her doctor (we have the same doctor) press down on her and the baby flipped.

I have to go in for a fetal assessment tomorrow morning. I lost 2 cm of fundal height since my last appointment and now I'm measuring too small (measuring 35 cm when I should be 40+/-2). I might be losing amniotic fluid or something... I'm nervous.

Holy macaroni! Up 42 pounds @ 31 weeks!

Try not to worry, I know it sounds silly but, your body sometimes just does what it is going to do when pregnant no matter what we do. It will come off! Take comfort in knowing you have a fellow MFPer in the exact same boat! I'm doing the calorie counting and for some reason the weight just piles on and it stays and I have no relief until August.
    Hang in there!

Thanks everyone! Turns out it was just because the baby dropped *phew*.
The sonographer said the baby is completely average haha. She said it is currently 8 lb 2 oz +/- 1.5 lb (Though I have heard that can be off so we will see when it's born). She based it off the abdomen measurement which was measuring around 40 w 3 days. The rest of the measurements looked smaller, more like 37 weeks (so perhaps I have a chubby baby with a smallish head? I'd be okay with that lol).

I have had girlfriends go in for inductions because they were told that their babies were 9 pounds and getting larger and they came out high 7 pounds or flat 8s. I always take the ultrasound measurements towards the end as a very rough estimate. I was told that my 4th baby was about 7 pounds and he was my biggest fella at 22 inches long and 8 pounds 13 oz; I wondered why he didn't come out in 3 pushes(I'm barely 5'2").

Hahah yeah. When you think about it, +/-1.5lb is a lot for a baby. My baby could be 6lb 10oz - 9lb 10oz. That a huge difference for a little baby. So I'm not putting much stock in the measurement lol.

@VeryKatie so glad to hear everything is looking good! You are so close now.

I had my anatomy scan earlier this week. Baby is healthy and strong and everything looked really good. We did discover that I have complete placenta previa. I am now on restricted activity for 8 weeks, so I can't really work out, among other things. I was sad and scared to hear this news, especially after my doctor told me all of the potential risks, but I'm just taking it day by day and praying for a healthy baby and that my darn placenta moves to its proper place. I've seen a lot of stories where people's placenta previa went away, and this gives me hope and helps me stay positive when the anxiety starts to creep in. I know we are focused more on fitness here but if anyone has any advice on this matter, I'd love to hear it.

Oh shoot that stinks! But all my caregivers said it's normal that the placenta will migrate away from the cervix as the uterus grows so try not to worry too much! And at least medical technology now means that you and baby will come out of this just fine even if it doesn't move. Even though it's a scary process too, but still much better than the alternative!

All good points, thank you, VeryKatie! We shall see what happens and like you said, if it doesn't move, there are still options for safe delivery.

@artgalchitown I had a partial placenta previa at 20 weeks and had to go back at 24 weeks for a follow up ultrasound and it had corrected by then. I was just on pelvic rest for 4 weeks. So hopefully it'll correct for you - they told me it's pretty common at 20 weeks and the majority correct.

@VeryKatie glad to hear it was just because baby dropped!! As for baby weight, the ultrasound estimates are nice but, yes, can be off. They said my first was going to be 8.5-9 at birth and she was 6 lb 11oz. And this time at 36w they said she was already measuring 8.25 and I thought "yeah right, okay. She'll be 7 or 7.5" ... she was 9lb 4oz!!
