@Hurricane_C I tried using my maternity pillow last night to see if it helps. Turns out I still hate it. It just didn't work for me. Stupid pillow :(

Hahah and good call on 36+4 :) that's better than 35+4 when you're ready to get your own body back lol.

@4legsRbetterthan2 hahahah I hope it has cheeks as cute as a chipmunks (though less furry would be nice). Lol I don't think I can ever change my profile picture. I've grown rather attached to it.

After weeks of eating like a normal person I have an INSATIABLE appetite this past week! It's like my stomach is an unfillable pit. I'm hoping this hunger can slow down a bit or I'm going to have a huge gain soon! Yikes!

ummmm.....not quite sure what happened this week. I swear I have been eating well and staying active. Its hard not to freak out with a big jump like that. I'm hoping that it is water weight and will level out.

Holding steady!! YAY! This was the pattern with my past pregnancies too. Weight gain slowed/stopped at this point. So, hopefully I won't end up too far off from my goal of 25 lbs. My last babies came naturally (no complications) at 36w3d and 37w5d, so if I follow that pattern again too I won't have too long to go. (though we want 37 weeks + of course!)

Lucky you! I feel bad for the women that swell up really bad in the last few weeks, it sounds so miserable.

Yeah that would be awful! FX for no swelling! I do drink a ton of water. 4-5 liters/day. Often with lemon essential oil.

    Week 32: 5/13: 178.6 (+24.6)
    Week 33: 5/20: 178.6 (+24.6)
    Week 34: 5/27: 178.8 (+24.8)

Feeling pretty good about where I'm at! Belly is measuring right on target. Interestingly, I have not changed my eating habits/calories these past few weeks. They have been the same as they were during those second tri weeks where I gained 1 or 2+ lbs. If anything, I am less active due to frequent Braxton Hicks/irritable uterus.

    Time for my weekly check-in.

This is my first pregnancy, and I am shooting for a 25-30 lb. weight gain.

    Height: 5'3"
    SW: 115

    Week 17: 116 (+1)
    Week 18: 117 (+2)
    Week 19: 119.5 (+4.5)
    Week 20: 120 (+5)
    Week 21: 121 ( +6)
    Week 22: 123.5 (+8.5)
    Week 23: 124.5 (+9.5)
    Week 24: 124.5 (+9.5)
    Week 25: 125.5 (+10.5)
    Week 26: 126.5 (+11.5)
    Week 27: 126.5 (+11.5)
    Week 28: 128 (+13, cumulative)

I have been out of town and have eaten terribly the last few days. I need to start eating more nutritiously. In other news, husband and I finished our registry! I feel relieved because up until this point we had nothing prepared.

Last week's crazy appetite showed this week and how! But this week I am feeling normal again and not like a bottomless pit so I'm going to go with the flow.

Also this was the first week I felt this little peanut move! I pressed down on some round ligament pain and got an annoyed response that was my little parasite for sure.

Wow is that coming up fast. ... ... omg I have so much to do at work before I go. But ZERO concentration left. Can I just say I HATE fence planning. It has taken over my soul and now I have no life and seem to be in panic mode all the time. There always has to be that ONE neighbour who makes it super difficult, right (or one direct neighbour and 3 indirect ones...)?

Very happy to see things have calmed down re: weight gain, it seemed like it was getting a little crazy there for weeks 15 and 16, and I was worried I may be on the road to potential health problems. I guess I was either retaining water or this journey is going to be kind of sporadic rather than one of steady gains. This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure what to expect. Anyway, I think with this week's weigh-in, I am now in line with the weight gain averages for this point of the pregnancy.

Looks we are on the same schedule! End of October due date? :) I hear you for retaining water, seems like anything I do causes that as well!

I guess we are all due around the same time. I'm due technically 10/28 according to first ultrasound but if they did it based on my last period I'm due 10/20.

I cannot wait till 6/15 when I find out that sex. I also haven't felt my baby move.

Hey ladies! This is my first time posting, and I'm feeling a bit discouraged, so I thought joining this group might help! Growing up, I was always pretty big and then when I moved out during college, I started to cook for myself and joined a gym and have since worked really hard to maintain my 80# weight loss. Pregnancy has been a struggle, dealing with how my body feels and looks different and for the very first time in my life, being told that I need to gain weight.

    Week 24: 158.1 (+8.1)
    Week 25: 157.9 (+7.9)
    Week 26: 160.5 (+10.5)
    Week 27: 159.5 (+9.5)
    Week 28: 160.6 (+10.6)

Did your doctor tell you to gain 15 or is your personal goal 15? We are the same height and about the same starting weight. 15 just seems low for our height and weight for a whole baby!

    Height: 5'4''
    Age: 30
    First Pregnancy
    Starting Weight: 150
    Goal to Gain: 15#

You're doing awesome! I'm 28 weeks along too and up 13 pounds. Like you, I'm really struggling with the mental aspect of gaining weight (the weight itself seems to be piling on despite my best efforts!). Remember that we're doing it so we can have healthy, happy, chubby babies and that it's temporary. Besides, having lost weight before, we both will know how to do it again if need be!

I started out about 8# overweight for my height and about 10 pounds heavier than I like to be, so I believe the "recommended" weight gain is 15-25#; however, I really wanted to keep it to the lower end of the range.

Gotcha! I have a large frame so my doctor specifically told me 25-30 to ensure I eat enough. I brought up that technically I am overweight and she said anything less is too little for me personally.

Admittedly, my midwife would like to see more...so we're compromising :)

    Time for my weekly check-in.

This is my first pregnancy, and I am shooting for a 25-30 lb. weight gain.

    Height: 5'3"
    SW: 115

    Week 17: 116 (+1)
    Week 18: 117 (+2)
    Week 19: 119.5 (+4.5)
    Week 20: 120 (+5)
    Week 21: 121 ( +6)
    Week 22: 123.5 (+8.5)
    Week 23: 124.5 (+9.5)
    Week 24: 124.5 (+9.5)
    Week 25: 125.5 (+10.5)
    Week 26: 126.5 (+11.5)
    Week 27: 126.5 (+11.5)
    Week 28: 128 (+13)
    Week 29: 128.5(+13.5, cumulative)

Nothing much to report. Husband and I have secured a two-bedroom apartment that we will move into in mid-July, so I'll be able to begin nesting then.

Feeling super puffy the past few days. Rings not fitting well. :( Average calories/day was 1665 so I didn't go crazy eating!
Drinking at least a gallon of water per day, so I'm not sure there's much I can do. Will check BP at a pharmacy later today just in case!

I have a feeling baby will be here soon. My other 2 came during the 36th and 37th weeks, respectively.

It seems like alot of women puff up when they get close, I wonder what the science is behind that, probably hormones changing or something.

Almost there!!! Hang in there <3
