    2nd pregnancy
    5'2

    4 weeks - 143.9
    32 weeks 5 days - 156.3

    Up 12.4 lbs.

This pregnancy has been way kinder to my body then the 1st time. I hope it continues to be kind to me while I breastfeed. Last time I struggled to lose weight while nursing.

I did well with nursing/losing weight for the first 3 months. But once my son started cutting back a little on feeds, I had a hard time. In fact, by the time he turned one, I had not only NOT lost weight - I had gained over 30 lbs back! I guess I'm one of those who doesn't need the extra 500 calories while nursing! lol This time around, I'm going to wait until my milk supply is established, then find out where my calories need to be to still lose weight slowly.

A lot of people have told me that too low of calories affects milk supply... and that may be true for some. But for me, I found that my supply was affect wayyy more by liquid intake than caloric intake.

Hi! I fell off the MFP wagon shortly before getting pregnant.

This is my second pregnancy - I have a 3 year old girl and a girl on the way :)

I was previously teaching Hot Yoga, and a 'retired' runner (These are hobbies, I work full time outside the home). I got burnt out on running after training for and running my first 1/2 marathon in June 2013. I quit teaching Hot Yoga as soon as I found out about my pregnancy as it is not safe for a pregnant woman's body temp to get too high, especially during the first trimester. I continued to teach regular yoga for a few months and then taught Pre-Natal for a month. I am not teaching now, and I rarely practice. I think I need a kick in the butt. I need to do my pre-natal yoga videos, go to classes, and walk. I don't know why I am being such a slug.

    Pre-Prego Stats: 130 lbs/5'2"

I am currently 27 weeks pregnant. My weight is 155. Yes, this is my second pregnancy and I am living it up. I have been eating whatever I want and the only activity I get is the day to day work and family stuff.

Needing some motivation here so I can get by with very little weight gain from here on out.

Glad to see there is a pregnant women's group!!!

    1st pregnancy
    Height: 5'6
    Pre-pregnancy goal weight: 120
At home scale: reading 120 - 121 in February (unknowingly pregnant) but I don't know how much I trust that compared to those in the doctors' offices.
March 26 - 8 weeks, 2 days: appointment with primary doctor to confirm pregnancy, weight = 123.0
    April 14 - 11 weeks: 1st routine OB appointment, weight = 123.8
April 19 - 11 weeks, 4 days: 1st ultrasound, weight = 121.0 (she didn't use the same digital scale this time so I don't buy this weight...)
    May 19 - 16 weeks: 2nd routine appointment, weight = 124.7
    June 16 - 20 weeks: 2nd ultrasound, weight = 128 (home scale, right before appt, read 126.6)
June 23 - 21 weeks: 131 (Yikes, a 3 pound gain!! baby girl must have had a growth spurt this week!!)
July 14 - 24 weeks: 3rd routine appointment, weight = 132.1 (home scale, right before appt, read 131.4)
    July 30 - 26 weeks, 2 days: 133.2, home scale
August 4 - 27 weeks: 137.2, home scale - after calorie intake was done for the day. 5 pounds in 3 weeks seems reasonable but 4 of it was in the last week.
August 11 - 28 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 136.4. 4.3 pound gain since last routine appointment.
August 25 - 30 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 140.4. Another 4 pounds between dr appointments, YIKES!
September 8 - 32 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 140. Holding steady for now; back to loss of appetite though...

8 weeks to go and up 20ish pounds

    Pre-Pregnancy: 150lbs
    25 weeks: 157.4lbs

Weight seems to be stacking on quite rapidly now!!! Odd to me because I'm still eating very healthy and working out more than I did the first few months of pregnancy. I guess the difference is I am not puking anymore, baby is growing, and I think I am retaining water! Still doing pretty good, just hope to see is go a littleeeeeee slower from here on out, I'd like to not see anymore than 25lbs if I can help it as I was slightly overweight to begin with.

Total: -.8 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight

It's getting harder and harder to keep on track! I'm hungry a lot, and my mind is all like "Go ahead and eat whatever you want, you've only got a few weeks left, how bad can it get?" :blushing: Only I know how bad it can get, so trying to hang in there!

Also, I don't want to have horrible eating habits after LO is born because I want to lose the weight! I am going to miss the excuse for having a tummy, though. Right now it's "cute". After she's born it's "fat". I plan on breastfeeding, but I really need to get some sort of exercise program going.

    Pre-pregnancy weight: 145
    Height: 5'7

    6 weeks: 148
    8 weeks: 152
    10 weeks: 146.6

I was soooooo bloated at first but now I'm eating better and the bloat went way down. Now I feel basically normal and can fit in my pants again. Haha
  • Per my doctor's scale ...
    9 weeks: 128.8
    14 weeks: 130.8 (+2)
    18 weeks: 132.6 (+1.8)

So far that puts me at about 3.8 lbs. I went a month without gaining a thing and finally jumped up a little last week. I am sure I will begin to see more gains as I have been STARVING. Im just glad I could keep the gains slow at first.

    Total gain: 5.6 lbs

Whew, I had major water retention the past 2 days, and I really thought I'd end up with a 3 lbs gain this week, but this morning I weighed in and I was back down quite a bit. I had waaaaay too many calories this week with 2 birthdays and a lunch out. I was soooo sure I'd gained 3 lbs. Thank goodness I only ended up with a .8 lbs gain! I need to be very careful these next 2 weeks though cause I have 2 major events coming up at the end of the month that are going to be high calorie days! I'm going to have to be a bit more precise and less lax, that's for sure!

LOL I definitely hear you on "how bad can it get?". I'm 26 weeks and doing good on my gains so far so I'm starting to feel like I have a free ticket to eat whatever the hell I want. But I know this is a terrible idea and I'm holding out the urge for at least a few more weeks, I'm not even in the third trimester lot there's a lot of damage I could do!

    Hello all!

    Pre pregnancy 109lbs 5'1"

    5 weeks 109 lbs
    13 weeks 114lbs

Gained about 5-6lbs during my first trimester. Aiming to gain 35lbs. Gained 34lbs with baby #1.

    14, almost 15 weeks & weigh 116lbs. So I'm up 7lbs.

    16 weeks- 118lbs (+9)

    17 weeks- 119lbs (+10lbs)

    19 weeks- 119lbs (+10lbs)

No weight gain on my scale. My doctors scale says I gained 18lbs when I went in on Tuesday! I think I'll trust my scale since I've been using it since the beginning. At my doctors office, the scales vary on which room I use & time of day I go.

    20 weeks- 120lbs (+11)
    21weeks-121lbs (+12)

    Hi Prego Ladies!!

I started my pregnancy out overweight at 5'6 at 187lbs. So I'm watching my weight really carefully. So far I'm at 16 weeks today and I weight 192lbs. It's a 5 lbs weight gain which was extrememly hard to control. But I'm pretty proud of myself for only gaining 5 lbs, my total pregnancy weight gain should be between 35-40lbs which is better than my first pregancy weight gain of 62 lbs! Here's to hoping I can keep it up for another 5 months!!!

    Yay for EARLY MARCH babies!!!

Well, finally passed my pre-pregnancy weight. Was really hoping not to, but didn't think I was going to be able to keep it under. I'm swelling a lot now, so I know that I have a bit of water weight. My blood pressure was also a little high at my appointment yesterday (I've NEVER had high blood pressure in my life, even during my first pregnancy). I don't know if it's because of my weight, or the swelling, or what. But keeping an eye on it. Hopefully I can stay steady the next few weeks until the little one is here!
  • ^^^ YOURE SO close!!! I'm sure it's water weight. You did great with weight gain. For sure you'll weigh less than prepregnant after little one is here.
