I’m always impressed with the ‘bonus calories’ from steps! I did tend to use them a lot of the time and always lost 2lb a week. Until I gained most of it back and came back on here....
-
The step tracker thing is working for me but disconnecting etc had no impact on the original issue. Glad to hear it's widespread!
-
Me too! It's so frustrating it's taking over my life! I've done the 'track steps' think in exercise and that seems to be working.
-
Love mine so much. Definitely makes me move more and stops me from kidding myself about how many calories I've expended (and thus prevents me over eating!).
-
I'm tracking religiously and see each day as a fresh start. I don't sabotage myself after one bad day. 29lb down since august.
-
I am a vegetarian. Is all. Haha. Will send you a request. Also in the UK.
-
I'll add - I'm just over the humber. I've gone from 12.06 to 10.05 sice 1st august. Still going (slowly!). 5'2" age 36. Good luck!
-
Ooh, it censored me! How clever.
-
Thanks everyone. I'm not even halfway to goal yet. @cheesychiplet you're pretty light so think 5lb will really show up. Good luck (and nobody quote me again - can't be having multiple pictures of my *kitten* online!)
-
@debrakgoogins I cannot believe I now appear on the world wide web in my knickers
-
I can't believe I'm doing this but here is day 1 and day 100 (this weekend). 12.06 to 10.10. Have you taken 'before' pics? It might help you to compare shrinkage. Mine is mainly lower back but I think the top looks better too.
-
My 'baby weight' is now four years old. Finally started shifting it! Will add you.
-
I nearly always do and I'm losing a steady 2lb per week.
-
I eat most of mine back every day - they come via fitbit. And I've lost 17lb over nine weeks. Can't argue with that! My logging is meticulous too.
-
I bought a book by Josie Spinardi... and it was a revelation. Although I don't think I can trust myself to 'inituativley eat' it's made me a lot kinder to myself and I've stopped thinking that starving is the key to bring slim.
-
I have quite a lots of treats. I either 'earn' them through exercise or I do have a 'cheat' day, making sure that it doesn't take me too far over in the week as a whole. I.e. maintaining a good deficit by doing well the other six days. So far, I am losing a steady 2 pounds per week. (I want to shift 50lb so similar goal).
-
I'm eating mine back and it's working well so far... although I feel a bit like I'm cheating for some reason!
-
No - no profit in the recommendation for me. Just want to help. It's great you're looking to address this now, at a young age. I was going from 15 to 35 in that mindset. Good luck again. You will get the support you need on here.

I've been in a similar boat myself. I'm not sure if we are allowed to recommend things on here but I read a great book about intuitive eating by josie spinardi... I think her name was. It was a revalation. I am still definitely work in progress but I go a lot easier on myself. Good luck.
-
This is my aim and timescale also. Good luck!!
-
Thank you! Bounts - well fancy that! I had never heard of it. I have just joined and used your code.

Thanks for this. I only got mine yesterday and was worried it seem to be showing a lot more activity than it should... But I am also very diligent when it comes to logging and weighing so fingers crossed. I am a little scared to trust it and have closed down tonight with a large deficit as a result!
-
Good luck. So much of it is to do with your mind. I've lost 2lb in the first week. Only 3-4% of my aim but I probably feel 20% better just for that!
-
125!! From 180.
-
Hi. I have a similar aim and know exactly what you mean about the confidence. I feel like my life is on hold whilst I hide. I'll add you!
-
I'll add you - I'm 175 with a similar goal. From East Yorkshire.
-
20 Is a great time to start. I'm 35 and have been doing this nearly all your lifetime already! Good luck - I'll add you.
-
Hi, I'm from East Yorkshire and I have a similar goal. I can't help with the water I'm afraid as I'm a prolific drinker. Of both water and wine actually.... I know there is a free app you can get to track your water and I think it gives you reminders?

All sounds familiar. I've gone from... Let me work it out in this pounds business... 120 to 180 over ten years and a baby. I'm bored and disgusted! I've set myself a first goal of being down a stone (14lb) by my 36th birthday in two months. I've used mfp before on off. I've started this time on Sunday and looking forward…
