What type of surgery we talking about? Maybe talk to doctor about side effects? And you are told you need 2000-3000 calories a day to lose, and only taking in 1200? That's also a reason. Eat more. If you are very active at work, and work out, no way 1200 would sustain you

Sometimes mfp confuses things. I've had mine readjust my goals before. Check your activity, weight loss goals, and current weight settings. If they still look right, change your goal and activity to something else. Save. Then go back and change it back to what you want. Worked for me

I tried it Normal dose, no effects Double dose, no effects Tossed in trash, still no effects Atleast it wasn't that expensive.

Rice-a-roni, chicken flavored

Oh, forgot to add, watch your sodium with it. Each can is roughly 460mg, or 16 percent your daily dose

I use the monster ultras. Same thing, zeros across the board. I usually have 2a day while at work, so it doesn't boost me like it used to. But I like the flavors. That's the downfall of consuming to many, you become immune to its effects after awhile. As long as you aren't negatively affected by the caffeine, I see no…

I know it's tough when one is doing something that the other isn't. But I'm gonna give a male perspective, I'll be damned if I'm told I can't have (meat, carbs, beer, donuts, fill in the blank with whatever else) because the wife is on a diet/life style change! He won't stop ingesting because he's not on the same plan as…

3 and a half hours for the equivalent of 3 beers and a big Mac meal, totally possible. Just try again tomorrow and be more mindful of your choices

I'm basic, sprinkle a little brown sugar, splash of milk, dash of cinnamon

Thread title got my hopes up

Rum and diet coke for me

I bought one. It helped me understand amounts (100 grams of almonds looks like this, etc) But in all honesty, I haven't used a scale in a few weeks. then again, I have 2000+ calories to play around with daily. So there's some leeway for me

Herbs, spices, crystal light, diet soda I don't log. I drink a lot of the monster ultra drinks, calories free, but sodium. So it's a50/50 with those

I had scrambled eggs for breakfast today. Because I'm short on time, I make them in the microwave. 2 eggs A good shake of chives Pepper Garlic powder. Microwave for 20 seconds, stir, 15 more seconds, flip in bowl, 10 more seconds Then I put it on top of a slice of 2% American cheese inside of 2 slices whole wheat lo cal…

Thanks for the help. The hardest part so far is getting used to it. I've never been a watch person, so having something on my arm all the time is weird. Previously I had a jawbone up move, just clipped and went. And software still learning

doh... my bad. I did the search for the HR and didnt notice that isnt what came up. Im embarrassed. time to change my order :(

Hopefully my binge makes you feel better about your binge. I went about 2000 over in just beers alone. It's amazing how a couple football games and alcohol add up. I didn't even log most of it. But today, I'm not sweating it. I'm back on track. Tightened up my logging. Going to do a little walking after work(weather…

Haha, mine will be the opposite. There are NO before pictures of me (I hate pictures in general, long standing hatred from years of family photos with a large numbered family) So all my after pictures will be all smiles :)

Can someone link the stories about the Twinkie diet and the McDonald's diet those professors did where their body fat, cholesterol, and other numbers were lower and healthier? Unless it's already been posted, I can't wade through this while troll thread on my phone

I should've specified. It was a round pizza thin crust cut into squares. Chicago pizza places have been doing that for as long as I can remember. The only pizza that comes naturally in triangles are the ones from the national chains, anything thick crust/double dough, and any Chicago style deep dish (which I miss like…

Lol.....I hate math. Thanks for the replies

If I know I am not going to hit my daily goal, I atleast swap to a maintenance day. As long as I don't go 3000 calories over maintenance, I'm golden. All damage can be reversed that week by making a day or 2 a 1.5lb deficit then go back to my normal 1lb deficit and get back on track. I try not to sweat it and show some…

As a guy, I'm sure my experience is a little different. A lot of guys (mostly male shop) comment on my loss. It's mostly the same thing "hey, you look like you've lost for weight". Then a follow up of "what are you doing?" Usually I will tell them how I'm not eating like a fatass any more and pimp MFP, sometimes I open…

I am similar, male 5'10" started at 230, first goal of 180. My only slow downs occurred during bad weekends when I drank a bit too much. But I got to a point where I could not maintain a 2lb/wk deficit on lower activity settings without being overly hungry. So I had to change it up a bit. I'm at 187 and having no problem…

From what I've read, it's best to eat a small meal/snack 30-60 minutes pre workout. Small enough that you know you will work off immediately, but it also gets your body ramped to use your stored energy. It basically gives you that boost so you don't get sluggish before your body switches tanks to your reserves

When my son was born, I quit cold turkey that day. 8 months later I tried a cigarette when at a bar, almost threw up after one drag. Havnt touched another since then. But stress from work and home pushed me to the limits a few times. Started missing the nicotine and the habit of the draw. So I started with vaping. Not as…

I don't log tastes. But I also don't take 30 tastes a day. The way I look at it, a tasting bite of anything is going to be under 50 cals. If I have a 500 deficit, it's a very small set back for that day. Or walk around the block a few times to offset it. I don't get that anal with my logging.

30lbs in a month is possible. Healthy or not... i wont say. Depends on the person I believe and what their current habits are. August 2nd I was at 230. Fast food at breakfast, slice of pizza or two off the roach coach during work break, fast food again at lunch. Dinners had no portion control whatsoever. I could wager a…

I think it's more to remove chances to eat, not implying OP wasn't getting exercise. Are you more likely to snack constantly when you are sitting on your butt or when you are moving?

My first week I lost 10 lbs. It's amazing what cutting out fast food and soda does while having an active job
