I do like to exercise daily as well. I don't want to just lose weight, I want to exercise daily to be healthy. I should probably buy a HRM to find out how much I burn during workouts because I'm pretty sure my stationary bike calories burned count lies.
-
1540 calories to lose 2lb a week.
-
So as I understand I should lose the 2lb a week without exercising assuming I eat the 1500 daily. Does this mean if I add exercise into the equation, I should lose more than the 2lb at times?
-
Okay I now understand that 3lb a week is way to aggressive. This is what I do daily. I eat between 1300 to 1500 calories and do 60 minutes on a stationary bike. I assume that this burns about 250 calories at least? Is it really that bad if I don't eat those burned calories back?
-
Haha I understand. My problem is I'm massively impatient. When I want to do something, I often try to achieve it as quick as possible. It's probably my OCD getting the better of me.
-
Thanks for informing me, I will stick to my goal of losing 2lb a week. Eating exercise calories back confuses me. Some say eat it back, some say don't.
-
No I don't want that look at all actually. I should keep my muscle if I aim to lose 2lb a week right?
-
What's the worst that can actually happen? I don't want to come across as arrogant. But I'm not overly concerned about losing muscle. I think it's inevitable that you lose both fat and muscle. You can always gain that muscle back once you're at your weight goal?
-
I know it's not a good idea long term, but I'd like to just test it until January. I'm a pretty dedicated and determined person.
-
Well to lose 2lb a week I have to eat 1500 calories a day. Currently I only eat 1200 to 1300. I don't feel horrible. I'm rarely hungry.
-
So you don't think I should just try it until January? I'm currently on course to lose 2lb a week, I'm not convinced that aiming to lose a pound more will do much damage.
-
I think I could do it. I may trial it until January.
-
Correct me then ;)
-
Does the chest strap come with the watch or do you buy it separately?
-
Yeah I'm pretty confused as to whether I buy the FT7 or a heart rate sensor? Do they combine?
-
I have considered those type of workouts but figured it would be to much noise for my neighbour.
-
Thanks for the advice. I realise weight loss happens in the kitchen as others have put it, but I like working out daily, it makes me feel better.
-
I do use the MFP database to track my calories.
-
No but I basically eat the same thing daily. I know how much calories I consume. I just hope the food packaging is accurate.
-
Thanks for replying. The reason I'm under eating isn't because I'm trying to starve myself, it's just I don't feel that hungry most of the times. I will definitely eat the full 1500 but I'd struggle to eat back calories burned from exercise.
-
Thanks for replying. I'm considering switching to weight lifting instead of cardio. That will burn less calories and keep my deficit a little healthier?
-
Thanks for informing me. What's the best/accurate food scale?
-
Okay I will probably come across as stupid, but why is weighing very important? Does the food packaging lie?
-
I know, but I don't feel particularly bad despite eating under.
-
Okay so even if I didn't exercise, I'd still lose weight because of the deficit that I've created? I think I understand it now.
-
I want to lose 56lbs in a year. MFP recommends 1500 calories a day, but I'm only actually eating 1266, I also workout 90 mins everyday. I thought I'd feel hungry, but I feel fine.
-
I'm aiming to lose 28lbs by January. If I achieve it, I will review from there :)
-
Thanks for answering. I'm aiming to lose 2lbs a week.
-
How do I do that?
-
My family wonder this to, but no I don't get tired of it. I see eating as a chore really. I wish I could show you guys exactly what I eat.
