My in-laws have made me very self-conscious over the years and they have their positive attributes but talking fitness and weight loss with them used to be a losing situation. They're older now....

@Gentlygently: carefully get fitter, for sure. Too much restaurant food, wine & not enough sleep or exercise combined with 3+ major life changes was just too much I guess. Couldn't agree more! It's somehow more rewarding when the weight starts to move downward, though. I feel better about the little losses than I ever did when I was younger. Took it for granted then. Sounds like you're very active so the only thing I can think of (without being an MD & knowing your medical history), is to log those meals and take a look at your calories. I am finally losing some weight due to logging although I'm not on a super-healthy whole food & vegetarian diet. Kudos to you for smart eating!

Back to the lowest weight I was registering earlier in October (pre-kids-college-search-excursion) and that gives me just enough time to drop another fraction of a pound before 31 October! Won't meet my goal but I'll get there eventually. Just will probably shout with joy when I see the scale finally read 160-something.…
