I met my boyfriend when I was three stone heavier. Currently lost almost 4 stone in total. I am proud to know that he loves me for who I am and not because of how I look. As guys who turned me down when I was bigger seemingly want to be in my life now. I would tell him now.

wow, seeing some mean posters on this thread which is very unfortunate. I have noticed this within MFP threads, how about we stick to, if someone didn't ask for your opinion, don't give it?

I'm going to stay off my scales until it's gone, it puts me in such a bad mood. It shouldn't, I need to remember it's likely just water weight. Thanks ladies :)

Last month I was up 6 pounds and by the end of it I lost the six pounds plus another two. It's just so disheartening when you've been working so hard for a silly period to make it feel like you aren't where you should be. I put too much emphasis on my scales. I know this. I know I'm doing the right things. But those damn…

Amazing, well done @KellyFaulds that's real good progress :) I'm half a pound off of losing 3 stone and I've never been happier :)

The actual moment was when I was getting ready for a date, I put on a grey dress and when I looked in the mirror I looked absolutely massive and was completely disgusted. I cancelled my date, threw out all unhealthy food, went to the gym and got a membership and a PT and then to the store for some workout clothes and I've…

Hey there! I'll send you a friend request now! All about the motivation girl!!
-
Good luck! You can do it :) i'll send you a request! I just found this area of MFP myself!

I know exactly how you feel @LisaKay91 I actually used to be so nervous about going to the gym that I used to walk to the door and then walk away because I wimped out, too worried about what people would think of me. I got a PT and he has been an absolute star, I wouldn't have been able to lose this weight without him and…

I have the same issue with my Fitbit HR although it's not the Nickel part my rash is from it's the actual band itself, FitBit have a disclaimer which covers them which states some people will have reactions to it due to sensitive skin. The only thing on the threat I've seen that will help me might be the moleskin as the…

@LisaKay91 That's awesome, well done on your weight loss! I recently incorporated treadmill incline into my workout. I usually do about 30minutes of hard cardio (is that even a term?) and 30minutes of weight training with a bit of HIIT also :)

I would have one cheat meal a week but still stay within my calories for the day. My Macros are 20% carbs, 30% fat and 50% protein so my cheat meal is usually something carby, my favourite being home made spaghetti carbonara I wouldn't go over my calories for the day as I feel like it can really set me back and I don't…

I started at 17 stone 3 pounds, I am currently 14 stone 3.5 pounds. My original goal was to be 12 stone although I think once I reach that goal I'll be making a new one :)
-
@Hornsby I was certainly one of those people! I'm glad I know different now :)

I'm not sure if anyone has said yet but I would advise weighing and measuring everything you eat and put into your body. You can be eating a lot more calories than you think if you aren't doing this, you could also be retaining water. Eat clean, workout, measure food and you'll see results Good luck!

First of all congratulations on your weight loss @mita271 Your other half may have started to feel insecure that you're losing weight and looking better, this isn't uncommon. You just need to let him know that you love him the same and nothing will change between you and that you'd appreciate the support for your new…

@sijomial Thank you so much for that information, makes a lot more sense now! I was always under the impression the HRM can tell exact calories burnt so very useful for me to know this isn't the case as I tend to keep track of all workouts and I measure and weigh all food and drink as well! @Merkavar awesome, thank you
-
@girlinahat That's amazing, well done on the race and good luck on losing that last stone! For my original goal I have 2 stone left to lose although I am sure once I reach my goal - a new one will be set :) Also I have indeed noticed the recovery of heart rate has indeed sped up!
-
@sijomial Would you say the estimation in calories burnt for overweight people is unreliable using a HRM over a fit person? If so why is that? (Trying to learn as much as I can) :) My resting heart rate used to be between 75-80 BPM and for the last few weeks it's been between 55-60 BPM And thank you, it's been quite a…

I'm having the same issue currently, would love to sleep all of the time. I think I'm going to try and get 8.5-9 hours of sleep a night instead of 7.5 and see how that works out!
