Thanks all I've decided to do maintenance with a small bulk so on weight lifting days I'll eat an extra 500 calories over maintenance and on days I don't workout I'll eat just a bit below maintenance.

Great work I can tell you will reach your end goal in no time
-
Keep it up grats.
-
Cardio will definitely shed the fat off, at least it did for me. Weight lifting will help tone you up but if your goal is to shed some fat then I would focus on the cardio.
-
That's the kind of change that sticks with you I doubt you will go back
-
Big difference there great job.
-
Lol it wasn't easy but yea I did. It's funny cause I was really disgusted by them and its what helped motivate me.
-
Appreciate it this board in particular was a inspiration for me.
-
Thanks
-
Nice, congrats.
-
Will add you.

The second poster has some great advice i too started off on the elliptical and treadmill machines but if you can also use the rowing machine a quick YouTube video will show you how to use it. If you are going to a gym don't be nervous to try out any machines that look interesting to you and definitely don't be afraid to…

If you are just starting out take a pic of yourself and when you start dropping pounds use it and compare it as the weight comes off it will continue to motive you. Also steer clear of soda and drink plenty of water. Good luck

Just got mines. Bigboss4ak@hotmail.com is my email add me I'm also looking for some fitbit friends

I've lost an average two year old, so long my child.

Nice work, doing cardio twice a day makes this very much believable. I don't think I could do cardio twice a day way too much work but congrats.
-
Surprising how much soda made me fat, I use to love it now I hate it.
-
So much this, I believe drinking water everyday and cutting out the suguary drinks is the best place to start for weight loss.
-
Good luck on this great journey, it has been great for me and sure it will be for you as well.
-
So I'm assuming the information from the op can be disregarded?? Good cause I use white bread on all of my subs.
-
Thanks for the advice and I definitely do believe that I am in a plateau. I don't use a food scale but I mostly eat the same foods every week and what I've been eating hasn't changed from when I was losing weight like crazy at the start. I wont even say I mostly drink water because its pretty much all I drink I've cut out…

I don't think he was purposely being offensive, maybe forced his opinion a bit but definitely wasn't an attack against shapely women(which I love). Like someone else said one mans dislike is another mans preference.
-
Im a boob guy but I can appreciate a big butt :)
-
Saw someone mention to stay away from bread I am curious as to why, I'm also in the same boat as the op and I tend to eat whole sub's 2-3 times a week which hasn't affected my weight loss at all.
-
I personally don't think one is better than the other, I rotate between both, for me both give me my desired results.
-
I tend to look at old pics of myself of how I looked prior to losing weight and getting fit, that always scares me straight into staying the course. Try it.
-
I do both cardio and weights, and yes the numbers on the scale have slowed, but I still notice the changes in my body when I look in the mirror. I'm getting lean while still slimming down. Do both.
-
I also agree with the above posters when I first started on this path I've found that going to the gym and burning calories put me in a great mood. It still does and once you start seeing changes you'll be even more excited to keep on pushing. Good luck.

Welcome tiara and good luck I have no doubts you'll hit the goal you've set. I'll add you also.
