  • That's exactly what I mean, yeah. It feels like such a turn around from what I'm accustomed to a program looking like. Thanks.
  • Not new. Didn't say I was intending to go off script. "Endless reps" wasn't meant literally. But it's true that lower rep range goes along with the compounds, so I guess didn't do as poorly as I thought I did.
  • My opinion is..,if you've put on that much weight in such a short time frame then something is going on. No judgement because I've gone through it myself, but...you have to determine what fueled that be it stress/depression/boredom, ect and deal with it. After that, you'll probably have to start forcing yourself into a…
  • My stomach couldn't handle all the food in such a small time frame. I liked it, but my gut protested so strongly that I stopped.
  • You look fabulous!!!!
  • Barring no dietary influences, yeah...it's possible. Every time I switch up my lifting routine my weight shoots up. It's happened so many times that now I just expect it.
  • Well, as far as remembering...you just have to remember. And you don't have to go to the gym. Are you off on weekends? If so what I would do is shoot for 30mins of exercise while the baby is napping (assuming she takes a nap...). If she is awake, she can sit in a seat next you and look at tv/play/eat some cheerios or…
  • I agree with this 100%. You started this thread so pumped up and now you're deflated. Maybe you didn't gain quite as much muscle as you had hoped (or maybe you did...who knows), but hey...if you've managed to gain 2lbs and burnt off some fat to boot, that's a win. Think about what 2lbs of meat looks like. It's a lot…
  • Me too. Weight moves around so much that all I pay attention to is where I'm averaging out overall. If my average is gradually moving downwards than I know I'm losing and vice versa.
  • There's no secret to keep. I lost 45lbs just by using the app as it's intended. Weigh all your food. Log it in your diary. You're done eating for the day when your calories are used up. That's it.
  • I'm on the second floor and don't have a rack because a) I don't have enough space, and 2) my floors aren't level enough where I would trust it. If you don't have either of those issues..,whats stopping you? I wouldn't drop my barbell for fear of disturbing my neighbors below me, but if I had the room so I could do…
  • I love pb&j but it's more of a treat for me. I have one now and then on light bread with a tbsp of pb (half serving) and some jelly. It's a lil sad but still tastes good. LOL! I wouldn't beat myself up over one sammich though.
  • I'm boring. I have a sandwich (love em!) on light bread with 2 servings of lunchmeat, cheese, light mayo, and a buttload of veggies. My side is either a piece of fruit or some baked chips. Calories are around 400.
  • Last night I had plain fat free Greek yogurt with a little Splenda sprinkled in to sweeten it. A decent sized serving is just a little over 100 cals and it has a ton of protein. I also like baking a quest bar for dessert. It makes 4 "cookies". Sugar free jello or pudding cups with cool whip are light too. I have Special k…
  • I think you'll be a lot happier if you put a few pounds back on. I dropped my weight a bit too low and felt absolutely horrible. After I gained 4lbs back I felt like a different person. I'm shorter than you are, so yeah....I did see that 4lbs a bit, but I still looked fine. It wasn't enough to have me busting out of my…
  • Yup. I think it does matter more for the women because it's generally harder for us. If a guy simply eats and lifts he's pretty much guaranteed to see some result. For me...I'm looking at this is a quest of sorts just to see if I can manage to walk away with something. Anything! LOL! And it is hard when you have the fat…
  • Yup. But how anyone could think this is simple is beyond me. I mean...I love food. I love eating. I wound up here because of my overeating/obsession with food. But I don't think I could ever love it enough to endure something like this. It's just wrong on so many levels.
  • I've been a serial dieter my entire life and this has always been a struggle for me. I've always been overweight, so that's what's familiar. That's what's comfortable.... That's me. Or it was.... I've kept 45lbs off for a year now. It's taken me about that long to start getting used to how I look now. What felt so alien is…
  • I tried IF with an 8hr eating window (2 meals). I had to stop because although I loved it, my stomach couldn't handle all that food. My digestion was a mess. I know I definitely couldn't handle ONE big meal.
  • Woohoo!!!! Great work!!!!
  • Why haven't I thought of this?!?!? Thank you!!!!!
  • Wow....That's one looooooong sentence! I can't even follow what the flip you're talking about.

  • Yup. This is the conversation I'm having with myself. 8lbs is a lot on a short stack such as myself.... My measurements are up a bit and my abs are just about gone, but neither are what I would say is horrible. My pants still fit so...there's that! LOL! I've thought about pushing a bit further if I can stand it. Thank you.…
  • Jeez.... I'm turning 45 this week and far from ready to die yet.... I lost about 50lbs just by sticking to my calories and strength training. 40's is no excuse for anything. There are plenty of people here who are longer in the tooth and killing it. Make a plan and stick to it and you will too.
  • Ok. So...this is the place for airing our grievances, right? Since I've been at it for 3.5mos now, I'm ready to start! I was 110 when I began and just hit 118. I think I did well sticking to gaining 2lbs/mo for the first 3mos but now I'm a mess with food and gaining too fast (stress eating). I was starting to see the pudge…
  • I think just the opposite. Sounds like another form of purging to me. And I don't see how it can be safer.
  • Very true.
  • In the beginning I was hungry but it did get easier. I dealt with it by drinking a lot and spacing my calories out to include three meals and three snacks. Basically eating smaller throughout the day.... Low calorie/high volume foods are your friend. Another approach that works for me is intermittent fasting. I've found…
  • 108-145 is the general range but it will look different on different people depending on how they carry it and what their body composition is. For me...at 145 I looked way too heavy, and at 109 I was very lean/bony. My ideal spot is about 114.
