I haven't really celebrated yet. I really like the gift card idea.

Don't worry, once you quit soda it stops tasting good. I can now have "some" and not fall back into the soda everyday all day routine.

I'm always looking for new friends!

Don't do this for him. Do this for you and then dump his *kitten*!

Me either!

Amazing loss and congrats!

I just got mine today and thought it didn't sync because it's still brand new. I guess I'll just have to wait it out and hope for the best.

This is very true. Grocery stores notoriously put all of the "good" foods around the perimeter of the store and all of the "junk" in the inner aisles.

I think that is a respectable goal. You won't need to work out 7x a week or starve yourself to reach it. My goal is ~80lbs. Today I just hit my first 20lbs loss. It tooks me 87 days of logging and exercising. If I am able to keep up this pace I will be able to make my goal weight in just under a year. We can do it! I sent…

Thanks for all of the feedback folks. It's really great having such knowledgeable and supportive folks along this journey!

Have you tried Co-Washing? There are co-washes out there (basically conditioner wash) that do not have the harsh sulfates in them that strip out your natural oils from your hair. I have used the "As I Am" brand from Sally's for years and love it. You might have to do a clarifying wash every now and again, but I would…

I don't really deny myself anything either. I tend to "fall off the wagon" if I do. I just limit the amount of what I eat and if it works into my plan for the day then it's in my belly.

I'm on a long weight loss journey myself. SW of 230lbs, GW is around 150lbs. I'm 5'8". Feel free to add me!

Thank you ccrdragon, that's what I was hoping for!

At the moment I drink coffee free from the office. I drink 2 6oz cups before lunch, each with 2 Tbsp which is 150 cals and 50 g of sugar. This is the only place that sugar really gets me. I stay under or at my calories no problem elsewhere, but am concerned that I go over on my recommended sugar everyday.

I've been on Lexapro for several years now and weight gain has not been an issue for me. I think there are other factors at play like others have mentioned beyond the SSRI. I'm still on Lexapro in fact and am not having difficulty losing weight with MFP and exercise.

I couldn't agree more.

I'm starting over again as well. I did ww about 12 years ago and dropped 40lbs, I was still 17lbs from goal when I fell off the wagon. I tried MFP a few years ago, but never really stuck to it. I'm older (and fatter) and am determined to make it and keep it this time. I've finally found an exercise I enjoy (Les Mills Body…

I haven't been 150lbs since I was a child. Maybe around the age of 12. My entire teenage years and adult life have been lived over 150lbs. However, 150 is right around my goal. I've been logging for 50 days as of today and working out for 60. I'm down 14 so far and will need lots of support as I start school again in…

I sent a friend request. I'm on a long haul to lose 85 lbs. Down 15 so far. I'll need lots of help and motivation so feel free to add me as well.

I'd love some more motivational friends. I have a long way to go. I'm down 15, but my goal is another 65!

I used WW about 13 years ago and was successful. At that time it was using the points system, which was based off of fiber, calories and fat I believe. Honestly, I think that MFP is basically the same thing. I've been actively using it for about almost 4 weeks and have successfully lost 10 lbs with MFP and exercise. So I…

This is generally not the best option based on this post: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/818082/exercise-calories-again-wtf/p1

Thanks Dianne, from that post I gleaned: "Myfitnesspal uses a caloric estimation tool that expects you to eat back calories burned during exercise." Thank you!

Me too! SW: 230, CW:221; GW: ~140

Ripe/soft bananas. Dog food or raw potatoes?

I'm seeing this after 5 weeks.

usmsmp is sadly correct. I carry most of my weight in my abdomen as well and it's the very LAST part of me to shrink as I lose weight. It will come off, but you'll have to keep exercising and watching your diet to lose weight to get it to come off. Keep exercising though, so when you do lose the weight the muscles under…

You can also try to manage your portions using your hand. Here's a document that gives you common foods and the hand appropriate portion sizes: http://www.healthyeating.org/Portals/0/Documents/Tip%20Sheets/Portion_Serving_Size_Chart_Eng.pdf
