Okay so I have a high waist and carry my weight all in my stomach and sides. I'm trying to slim my side to fit into old jeans and I have this layer of fat on my obliques above my waist and below on my hips. I do side planks and alternating bicycle crunches. No results :(
Suggestions!!??

You can't target fat loss through exercise. Exercise helps firm the muscles under the fat, but does nothing for reducing the fat in that area. Unfortunately we don't get to decide where the fat comes off, so you'll just have to keep losing weight until the fat in those areas goes down.

usmsmp is sadly correct. I carry most of my weight in my abdomen as well and it's the very LAST part of me to shrink as I lose weight. It will come off, but you'll have to keep exercising and watching your diet to lose weight to get it to come off. Keep exercising though, so when you do lose the weight the muscles under will be nice and firm and you'll look amazing!
