Thanks for the reply. I've also realized that though I hear that "fitness rather than weight" thrown around a lot....I don't really know what that means. Does that mean I need to lift weights? Is something like yoga a bad idea? I really don't know where to start. Weight loss is so straightforward and fitness sounds like…

I am the exact same way. You are definitely not alone.

Hmm well I originally went from 167 to 140 a while back. It took a maybe 3 months. I was just making sure my calories in were lower than calories out. (Though I honestly was too extreme, unhealthy, etc.)I got to 155 again and starting losing in January. I've been losing somewhat consistently since then. I'm at 138 now. I'm…

Are you weighing under same conditions each time? I'd personally recommend weighing yourself less often if you know it effects you that much.
-
Arctic freeze ice cream is 150 calories per freaking PINT. Amazing.
-
Probably because no one cares lol. Not trying to be mean, but honestly, woukd you care if someone weighed 13 lbs less? Why would you? Your friends probably don't really notice your weight. It's not like you dropped 50.

I drink once or twice a week. I just plan in advance and cut like 100 cals on other days so it evens out over the week. I NEVER drink light beer (it's gross and I do not get buzzed), just look for good beers that aren't that bad in cals. Do a quick search on here of various beers and you can start getting an idea of what's…

Hot drinks like tea and coffee hel me. Veggies like jicima and cucumbers and super good and low calorie snacks (top with lemon or lime juice...yummmm..) Also, I like eating pretty much all day. 3 smallish meals and two snacks works for me. I also fluff up lunch with lots of veggies.

Thanks for the advice, I often forget about sodium

Mm I am bulimic but I totally relate to every word of this. I've been to treatment centers twice, and I'm still bulimic, but I am a lot beter and stronger than before.
-
Do you honestly think you are healthy? I may be bulimic, but at least I admit it..

You can also look at my diary but I tend to eat the same things a lot

Indian dishes and curries are good. You can add potatoes, veggies, garbanzo beans.. pretty open.I also like eggplant tofu. Just do an online search, those are just my favorite fast ones but I'm feeling lazy to type out or look for a whole recipe

It depends on where you are starting from totally. I have lost 12 lbs since January because i started at a normal weight. Was 155 (at 5'6) in January and am now at 143.

ugh me too.

Walk most places. Log EVERYTHING even if you have to totally guess, just log it anyway. Enjoy yourself :) Know that enjoying yourself doesn't mean living it up at every meal. Opt for salads or grilled veggies if given a side choice. Wait like a week after you get back to weigh yourself!! This can be tough, but if you weigh…

I'm there with you, have 13 lbs to lose!

I like energy bars (like clif or luna bars), a fruit, and coffee. It's also pretty light. When I feel like I want something more substantial, a PB & banana sandwich with coffee and fruit does it for me. I need stuff I can eat while driving lol.
-
I also suggest being nosy and looking at other people's food diaries!! A lot of folks on here have their food diaries public. (Mine is, I'm veg but I'm sure you can see stuff that might work for you). Planning ahead is wonderful. I like doing my food diary a day or two in advance, then tweak as necessary. DO NOT DEPRIVE…

Maybe she'd feel more comfortable eating a bit more if she moved a little more!

Congrats on the marriage! :) Also I LOVE unexpected surprises! Your weight may even even out since a lot of times when we vacation we are eating too much salt & gain some water weight.

To kindly disagree with many above posters: Mfp is helping me with recovery. I was in the hospital for two months for an ed and the biggest tool I learned was meal planning. Mfp makes it easy to do just that in a convenient app.

Letting it out is a huge feat! Congrats you're on your path to recovery :) A word of friendly advice: log your binges on here (as much as you can remember anyway). It hurts but it's helpful.
-
You are a strong person haha :)
-
Perhaps! I know hardcore CICO folks will have a cow about this (lol) but sometimes after I eat at a slightly higher calorie range for a day my weight drops. Like its saying thank you haha. Don't understand it but it let's me keep my head on of I stray a little one day.

You got this! If it's not the number you're hoping for, just r me me be r how easy it is for other things to affect weight. That being said , I hope you see a lower number tomorrow :)

How long have you felt/behaved in this way
-
I think a point is this: No, that (chewing/spitting) alone does not mean eating disorder. But it is abnormal eating that isn't sustainable Also it may escalate which is no bueno! I suggest you try to break the habit now :)

Another tip: reusable snack bags. They rock and make your to go snacks feel adorable and stuff. IDK they make me more likely to take fruit slices and other snacks like that.

What I personally do is add 200 calories with quick add on the days I don't work. Then I just have 200 less calories overall for the day (which is where I'd be at if I moved myself to sedentary. However I just restarted losing weight so I'm not sure if it's a perfect way to do it. Just giving you an alternative idea! Also…
