Nature thyroid - is this natural dessicated thyroid/thyroxine? I am seriously considering paying the price of a consultation privately to try ndt. I'd have to pay monthly for my prescription too but if it makes loads of difference then it would be worthwhile. Are you UK based do you have a good consultant. X

It's actually dry outside this morning!!

Crikey, just realised what an old thread this is. Let's see if anyone's looking. My get motivated music is The Cat Empire, Two Shoes album. Anyone else like them?

Absolutely love this version and agree his voice is yummy!

That's an amazing achievement so far. I want to lose about 39kilos but I'm concentrating on 5% of bodyweight targets each time. Hoping to keep going and not lose motivation this way. Very happy to buddy up. I'm 55 btw. Becca x

Hi. I've been a member for years on and off. I'm in the zone just now. I'm trying a new strategy this time which is to set my target for 5% bodyweight loss. Then reset for another 5%. Hoping small achievable amounts will motivate me and also as I'm doing a local council programme where I get twelve weeks gym membership…

I have fibro too amongst other conditions. I find magnesium oil or body cream from Holland and Barrett a life saver. Slathered liberally on sore bits. Reapplied during night if needs be. Xx

Thank you. I needed that encouragement x

Definitely obscure. No obvious formula to work out syns etc

I've just finished three weeks under the care of the crisis team. I'm waiting for cat counselling which should start soon. I also have health conditions which can make excecuse difficult. Part of that is worry about being in pain though. The med im now on causes me to not have the same full up feelings so im having to use…

Yes he for sure finds fish and also beef difficult. He manages gammon. He's had his esophagus and bowel checked. He's coeliac but without diagnosis as he'd have to be soooo ill for tests to work. He can't eat barley. Oats must be gf. He will suffer from airborne cross contamination. So need to be careful. I can't eat soya…

Catch is he doesn't like banana. I wonder if he'd taste it. Any other substitute?

Wow, thank you everyone for your replies. I amgoing to have to be so super controlled. I think they will be leaving me on15mg as its and adjunct with Venlofaxine 75mg. Iwas having terrible insomnia. Now unpleasant dreams but I can cope better with that than no sleep. I feel rather like a big blob at the moment as it is as…

Only when people die in their sleep, we assume it's peaceful, but we don't really know that. It's easier for us to believe that.

Hope you told the gym!!

That means that you have earned a smaller keeper ring from your hubby. Yaaaaay

I would say hindsight is great and for future be firm in the beginning - you are not there to be friends and you have to earn respect not which can't be done by being nice. Then later you can loosen up a bit once you have set all the ground rules. I understand wanting to be liked but ultimately you are there to teach and…

Hi I would really like to have more support on here and offer support. I have lost 7lb so far out of 40lb that I would like to lose. Feel free to add me :-)

Wow, you look fantastic now!!! What a lot of weight you have lost!!!

My son has a bmi of 15 he is 6ft and 8.7 st and nearly 21 years- HE HATES IT!!!!! Being so slim is not good and doesn't make him better than a fat person, or even well, he is about 2 - 4 st underweight. Thin does not equate to healthy! Nor mentally well.
-
I guess that depends who your friends are really.
-
I roast my sweet potatoes - just a little olive oil

I am from the lowcarbhighfat school of thought. It works for me. I would change your micros to 25% carbs and not worry as much re fat and protein if they are over. Carbs store as sugars and this might be the issue for you xox
-
Ignore them. Yes you lost weight - woohoo but you have not yet achieved your goal!!! Me neither. Add me and lets do it!! Don't let people make you feel like you don't need to keep bothering cos when you get to 130 - news flash you will still need to keep bothering or you will be back to 195!! It is an absolute bugger but…

I'm here everyday. My streak isn't that good as I was on holiday with no wifi but lost weight while away - whoop whoop!!! Feel free to add me xox

Calories are definitely very important but are not the whole picture. For some people ( thyroid issues, t2D etc) cutting down the carbs and raising the fat works very well. Low carb can reduce cravings and high fat can satiates you.

Hey. It can be tough. One day at a time. Don't think further than a week ahead overall and food planning wise even shorter term. Try noting down what triggered your over eating. Just being aware. We are all in this together. Xx

How about if he wants to socialise with you you invite him for a meal at yours and prepare stuff to your taste and then you are more in control. If he continues, you need to find the words either spoken or written to let him know that this is helping you to be fit physically and mentally and that if he values you as a…
