Run keeper is a great app and easy to use. The newer iPhones come with a Health app. Lots of freebies out there. Guess I should've read on! Enjoy your fitbit.

The best thing I ever did for myself, physically as well as mentally was begin eating healthy and exercising. I look better and I feel great. Try it for six weeks. Do it every day and see if you don't feel better, too.

There is a reason why some people love watermelon and some hate it. Something is going on, physiologically. Something with people who practically exist on fruits and veggies while others cannot get enough meat, too. We know people who are allergic to a food will frequently not like that food, too. The smell of a certain…

Of course they are lying. I don't know if you're old enough to remember "Out we go to spend our dough without our common sense. We're the Dough Nuts!" but if you buy this stuff, you join the Dough Nuts.

I had 2600 calories one day. That was a bad day. Bad food, bad calories, so much badness. Not the end of the world, though.
-
I exercise first thing in the morning, about sixty minutes, and eat breakfast after.

Just did it and stuck with it. It's a big deal and you have to be pretty committed to doing it if you want to succeed. Like quitting smoking, it's tough at first, but the rewards are good and you'll be glad you did it.

More southern than black. There are plenty of thin black people who eat well. There are plenty of southerners who eat well, too, but overeating of calorie-laden foods is a thing. Like doughnuts after church don't even count. Cornbread was a big surprise to me, calories-wise. I knew it wasn't health food, but didn't realize…

I make food I like when I'm full, then portion and freeze. Being full makes it easier to have just a little when I make it and thawing portions makes portioning easy. Can't eat what is still in the freezer!

True. They should be posting negative, nasty things online...26,000 times. That's not sad at all.

Several months before it seems better than the old way and a year or two to really get in the groove. It's a little like quitting smoking in that it's really hard at first, but then you're better off and happier the new way.

This is all good info. Buying meat on sale or in bigger quantities is a good idea, too. You will find that if you shop smart, eating healthy isn't actually more expensive. It can be cheaper.

Because nothing bad could happen before you're 70? Because you think life isn't worth living after 70? Why pick 70?

"People who has had no food education who has an addiction or eating disorder, or who's depressed and overeats?" I'm not sure. We aren't saying anything together.

I'll go along with poor impulse control and trouble controlling themselves, but actual intelligence? Nah.

There are tons of free apps that do this.

Healthy diets lead to healthy bodies and healthy people are happier, so it makes some sense. I've never thought of cornbread as a health food, but it sure is good. If you're making healthy cornbread, you're probably making it wrong. ;)

Where calcium is concerned, the bones are often broken down because the calcium is low, so it has to get pulled from somewhere. If you see a transient hypercalcemic reading, you have to suspect that it was caused by a hypocalcemic issue. Hypoparathyroidism is one if the major causes of hypocalcemia. Hypocalcemia can (and…

Salt is over-consumed and should be heavily taxed.

Go ahead and make fun. Laugh now. When the tax passes, you're going to pay it.

The people who made the constitution could not have imagined how things would be today. Life is fluid and adjustments must be made. So stop with privacy this and constitution that. Entitled to Cheetos. Wake up, America.

It's not insensitive. We needed healthcare and I'm not even going to argue that because now we have it. Don't like it? Too bad. We do need to find a way to control the costs of healthcare and getting people healthy is one good way. People need to eat healthier and be healthier. It's not fair to those who eat well to make…

Stop complaining about privacy. Unless you have something to hide, you don't need it. It would help so many people. They either don't understand how to eat well or they cannot stop themselves from making bad choices. And think of all the kids being raised by people who give them cookies as treats, children who see bad…

Fine, then the card tells you what to buy. You still get to choose though. That's pretty sad about your parents, but we needed national healthcare so I guess that's a price we have to pay. It's a small price for the greater good, don't you think?
-
What privacy concerns? What do you have to hide? Yes, people all over the world pay taxes on food and Yes, Americans are so entitled. "I need Cheetos." Entitled!
-
Just like the WIC, if you're not allowed to buy it you don't. We already do this on a limited basis. It works fine. You can have a fat tax. You will have a fat tax. Don't like it, don't buy unhealthy food items. People all over the world pay taxes on their food. Why are Americans so entitled?
