  • Congratulations! Nothing is more motivating to keep going than seeing the scale drop!
  • How did today go Gsheppy? I like Kmhibbs suggestion to find time for yourself. It can help you focus and decompress. When I still had kids living at home, I would get up earlier than everyone so I could spend 20 minutes or so by myself. Prayer, meditation, and journaling, all come easier in a quiet house.
  • Hi Aubra! I just replied to your other post about having a great day and called you Sabie. I’ll get it right next time!
  • Way to go Sabie! Great days feel so good and are so motivating! Day 3 coming up tomorrow! Today was only my second day logging and I did pretty good. Passed on the doughnuts at work, minus one donut hole, which is hard to do. My work has snacks and treats out at least twice a week and it’s hard to not indulge. Today I…
  • I used to do weight training regularly and loved it. Stress, life, and my work schedule got in the way and I’ve struggled to find time and energy to get back to the gym. That’s another goal for me!

  • Definitely - let’s make it a great day! Everyday is a new opportunity to work toward our goals. Messed up yesterday? Don’t give up, start again! Gsheppy, life sounds very overwhelming right now. Could you pick one thing to start with? Maybe increasing your water intake, or walking at lunch? As for being hot all the time, I…
  • Those are great goals! There’s plenty of time between now and July to make sure your numbers look good! I lowered my cholesterol a couple of years ago by reducing cheese, which was hard but worth it, and processed meats, like salami, another favorite. You can do it!
  • Thank you! I was having trouble with the app yesterday so couldn't reply. Protein powder is a great idea! I rarely make overnight oats. What are you eating instead?
  • Looking at my breakfast and lunch, I can see that the biggest impact for breakfast is the walnuts I added to my overnight oats. I can certainly reduce them next time I make oats. As for lunch, it’s the cheese I added to my chopped salad. Cheese is definitely one of my weaknesses, but I can reduce that too. The salad is…
  • Good morning and welcome! I too have been very unmotivated, but I’m inching back toward it. I’ve found a motivating factor that I hope will help me. I’m meeting my son for a weekend vacation in August and would like to be thinner than I am now by then. Not only am I embarrassed by how heavy I’ve become, but I would also…
  • Hi Genn! Welcome! I forgot to include my name on my original comment. Duh. I’m Mary Pat. As for the format, good question. My thoughts are to post each day - what went well and what didn’t. Provide support and receive support from each other. Share thoughts and ideas. Thoughts? I’m pretty open to what will work best for…
