Thank you for sharing. I already knew it wasn't /exactly/ 0 calories but it's cool seeing the math. I still prefer sprays over using actual oil though. 100 calories for a tablespoon just isn't worth it to me. I need to actually go buy a butter spray soon.

I live in northern california. It changes but it's usually Grocery Outlet, Walmart, and Safeway.

I'm a college student so I have maybe $50-$100 max to spend on groceries per month. Spaghetti using whole wheat spaghetti noodles (Great Value kind, $1.22 at walmart for a box) and a good pasta sauce (I like Eating Right tomato basil sauce) Quesadillas (whole wheat tortilla with a tiny bit of cheddar cheese that I measure)…

I do tuna sandwiches. I mix in one tablespoon of mayo. Put it all on 2 slices of whole wheat bread and add in some spinach.

I think they're both really important. Calories for weight loss and macros for your health. I like to keep track specifically of my sodium intake because heart problems and high blood pressure run in my family.
-
Switch to whole wheat tortillas :) Imo they taste the same and are healthier
-
Try whole grain spaghetti noodles. There's probably some healthy recipes online

I saw that on "my diet is better than yours." Looked disgusting

How much are you over by? I do try and limit my sodium for heart health/blood pressure but it's hard to do. I used to eat a lot more foods with sodium when I was younger and definitely felt more bloated

Bananas are great. I have one usually every day or every other day. But 50??? Oh my god. The amount of sugar.
-
I avoid them. Too much sodium and just knowing that they're frozen meals makes them nasty to me. I just try and make fresh meals, like cooking boneless skinless chicken breasts and frozen vegetables

My weight loss blog is HealthyTwentyTwo.tumblr.com my all time favorite weight loss blog is FitChris25 (also on tumblr)

I also recommend buying bags of frozen vegetables. Easy and convenient. Potatoes are also indeed healthy. A baked potato with the skin on has tons of potassium

String cheese, skinnypop popcorn, trail mix, some tortilla chips, Lara bars

i couldn't stomach the taste of fage, i personally enjoy chobani way more. they're usually on sale at the grocery store, wouldn't hurt to try 1 fage and 1 chobani and see which one you like better.

For me it's chips. I can eat an entire bag. I just don't buy chips anymore so that it won't happen to me.

lot of people do overnight oats. there's also different types of sandwiches you could do (i love pb&j. whole wheat bread, all-natural peanut butter, organic jelly). there's also snacks to bring along like skinnypop popcorn, string cheese, applesauce, wheat thins, trail mix, fruit, etc.

How light is your pee? As far as I remember, if there's some yellow in it then you're okay. If it's completely clear then you're drinking too much water.
-
Do you drink a lot of water too? That's very important. You may just need to switch up your exercise routine.
-
Try and add fruit and/or veggies to every meal.
-
Do you have access to a kitchen? Or even a microwave? I'm a college student as well but if you do have access then try and cook boneless and skinless chicken breasts, chili, quesadillas, etc. if no access to a stove then use a microwave if you can. You can get bags of mixed frozen veggies and microwave them. Same with…

I do it once or twice a month

Even if you guys were having the traditional dinner, there's a lot of calories in that traditional dinner too. It's just one day, it shouldn't ruin all of your progress. Maybe drink a lot of water, get a workout done early in the day, etc
