I was NOT expecting that transformation. You look absolutely incredible! Congratulations on all your hard work and thanks for being an inspiration :)

My petty reason is to stick it to the people who bullied me at school if I ever see them in the street!

Oh sweet... you might love him, but he does NOT love you. You don't cheat on people you love, and YOU deserve better than someone who sees you only for your weight.

I love coriander (Cilantro for those of you in the US!) Seriously, I'll put it on pretty much anything.

Lots of great advice above. What stood out to me is that you have 1-2 takeout meals on weekends. How is your water consumption? Takeout food can be LOADED with sodium and can really bloat you out. You want to make sure you're drinking plenty of water throughout the day to help eliminate it. I would also suggest that you…

Have you tried looking up your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) and TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) online? It’ll let you know how many calories you burn at rest and then you can work out how many calories you need for weight loss. In theory MFP does this for you, but I know that sometimes it doesn’t. I think your goal of…

Slightly upset that I sounded like your mum - I'm only 29  It's good that you're working and able to do your own shopping and cooking - that will really help. Is there any way you could factor some of your favourite foods into your week? We have McDonald's relatively often, but it can quite easily slot into my calorie…

Hi Beth, big hugs <3 There's nothing as frustrating as a stall in your weight loss. Being home with your family will definitely be a contributing factor, but as you're likely to be home for the forseeable (I assume) it will need addressing. Could you offer to cook some of the meals at home to ensure you're eating in a way…

Big hugs Sara! Sounds like you're having a tough time :( Congratulations on your weight loss so far! I'm no expert, but I didn't want to read and run so I'll share my thoughts on the issue. Full disclosure - back in 2013, I was successful at losing over 50lbs (25kg) and I kept it off for 2 years. I lapsed into bad habits,…

You can do it!

Only just spotted this challenge, but it aligns nicely with my goals for the year, so I'll join in if I may? :) Starting weight: 15st 2lbs (212lbs) Goal weight: 11st 7lbs (161lbs) Current weight: 14st 12.5lbs (208.5lbs) Total weight lost: 3.5lbs This week's successes: Sticking to my running goals This week's challenges:…

I want to fit into the new work trousers I bought :D They would have fit before Christmas, oops!

Physical is probably my legs, I've always considered them to be a nice shape even though they'll never be super skinny. Otherwise, I'm really empathetic (to a fault) but I wouldn't change how deeply I care about others for the world.

I've just found this thread and I think I might have to bookmark it because you are INCREDIBLE! I can't believe how far you've come in just a year, you should be so proud of yourself. I think you'll need to buy a whole new wardrobe when it comes time to return to the office :) Keep up the good work! <3

Welcome Donni :) The struggle is real when it comes to fitting exercise in! I usually do it in one of 2 ways. I either get up an hour earlier and go for a half hour run, before showering and heading off to work, or I do the considerably more grim run before work & get changed in the toilets. I can eat breakfast at my desk,…

Q1 - I really love my Apple airpods for running. They're expensive, but they fit my ears really nicely. I also recommend the Power Beats wireless headphones. I personally wasn't as keen on the wire behind my neck, but I'm very fussy. Sound quality on them is great. Can't help on trail shoes though I'm afraid!

For things like this, I input the whole recipe into the recipe builder and then I would make each individual waffle a serving. Don't use an option that's already in the database as the ingredients could be different. So, for example, if my total recipe was 2000 calories (for the whole batch of batter) and I can get 12…

This seems like a great way to procrastinate at work  1. How do you like your eggs (if you don't eat - what might you eat instead)? - Scrambled with milk. 2. How do you take your coffee/tea? - Hot Tea, splash of milk, one sugar, reasonably strong. 3. Favorite breakfast food? - hot, buttered crumpets 4. Favorite…

I spoke to a therapist. I was actually speaking to her about something different (dealing with grief) but during our chats she helped me realise that the things I had stopped doing (eating well, exercising) were making the stress at work seem worse. One of my colleagues tested positive last week, having been in the office…

All excellent advice above ^ I just wanted to add that I have always found that I lose less the week after a big loss. So if I were to lose 5lbs one week, I'd lose 0.5/1lb the following week. As you go on, you'll learn your body's pattern and it won't take up so much mental energy :) Congratulations on a brilliant loss so…

Hello! :) I am a runner, much to the horror of my podiatrist who has informed me that my feet are not designed for running! As a compromise, I'm allowed to do up to 30 minutes 3x a week, which I am trying to take full advantage of. This is a significant change for me as I used to run Long Distance, completing a marathon…

Good luck! I think 9h is totally doable :) make sure you do proper warm down stretches at the end of each walk and wear proper shoes :) if you have any hillier areas nearby, I would recommend you walk there because the added resistance will help build your leg muscles. I "ran" a marathon back in 2017, which is to say that…

I would like to regain my self confidence and I would like to finally reach my goal of running sub 10 minute miles. I get that it's still very slow to some people, but I've never managed it and hopefully it would lead to even faster times someday!

Oh my goodness how awful! What was he even doing in a gym though? He plays for the Under 15s side. I don't know about Aus, but here in the UK gym memberships are for over 18s only unless you attend with a parent (and even those you generally aren't allowed in the proper gym bit, just for classes and stuff) I hope he…

Mmmm cake :p just for future though, I logged one of my cake recipes including fillings etc and a small piece was nearer the 500-600 calorie range. I hope you enjoyed it (that's the point!) and I'm glad to see you're just moving on with your week :)

I'm the same height as you lovely, I could NOT survive on 800 calories a day! I'm on 1600 and losing nicely. Are you comfortable sharing your starting weight and goal weight? I got down to 150lbs through diet a couple of years ago, but still didn't shift my belly because you need to be doing some strength training to…
