Read the book "brain over binge." It's all about changing your mindset when it comes to binges. I can't say that I will never binge again, but I feel like I have more control now. Also, you really need to eliminate trigger foods. This will be different for everyone. I have eliminated sugar (except for some fruit) and…

I exercise a lot. I try to get on my treadmill every day and it's not uncommon for me to get 15-20,000 steps on my Fitbit per day. I just want to continue to eat lchf. It's just scary to think that it could be unsafe...but all the recent studies give it five gold stars. Am I really that much of a special snowflake?

I'm about 15 pounds over weight.

All of them!!! I love them all!!! Especially the raspberry white chocolate.

As far as my husband goes, I tell him "I do me, and you do you" (of course I'm referring to diet ;) ) I know that I must take responsibility for my health. If he wants to do so, he will. Yesterday he wanted to eat chicken strips and fries. I ordered green tea. I know this is a little extreme but I had already had a…

Wow. I love what you have to say. Thanks @GaleHawkins

I'm trying this too! I'm only eating vegetables now but still need to lower my carbs a bit. I'm also reading "eat fat get thin" on the nyt best seller list now. Add me!

Since I am still experimenting with this- yesterday I logged about 50 percent fats, 30 percent protein and 20 percent carbs- however should I be logging net carbs? This would make my percentages lower. @GaleHawkins

I would definitely look for their new formula that has 20 G protein and 1 gram sugar. It has a purple label on it. The other formula has a lot of sugar. I am a teacher and I buy the pre made bottles. When I have duty or don't have time to pack my lunch I drink one. They actually keep you full for four hours! Even if you…

I can't even eat steel cut oats. I become ravenous after about two hours...

Thank you very much @GaleHawkins . I'll definitely join the group and check out the other information you've provided.

I'm glad I ran across this. I have been experimenting with a higher fat diet myself. I have been known to binge, and I knew that this was something that I could change, so I began to study different diets. I am currently reading the book "eat fat, get thin" that's on the nyt best seller list. For the past few days I have…

I eat two per day. It's the only thing I can think of for breakfast.

If you are taking your medicine and the right dose, weight loss shouldn't be a problem as long as you are in a deficit. I am hypothyroidism as well. I have read several books and have done some research on the best diet for hypothyroidism. The advice from the books is to avoid broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts (but cooked…

I'm 36 and I have my calories set to 1200. However, these are my net carbs. I have a Fitbit so I eat any extra that I burn. I like to jog, so some days I can eat up to 2000 calories and still have the 1200 net. I think a Fitbit may help. This will help you figure your tdee and decide how many calories you can manage with a…

All lovely meals people. Keep up the good work! I used to log in an app called two grand. I don't know if somebody has already mentioned it. You log pics of food rather than calorie counts. You can also track water intake, follow people like yourself, and share recipes. It was a fun tool, but I am better when I actually…

Me too. It all starts with my grocery list. I buy healthy things like eggs, chicken, Greek yogurt, and tuna - all things I can use to prepare and bring for lunch and breakfast. This helps me to avoid the fast food that my husband brings home at night

:) Yes it's a wonderful high protein snack. My husband makes it

Yea like a 100 calorie pack of almonds and a banana or an Apple. That would be pretty portable/ easy.

Oh yea....thank you Fitbit for the beer

Oh yea....thank you Fitbit for the wine

Does it seem like that now (since you are aware of the data provided by the tracker) that you can eat more?
-
Don't categorize food as good or bad. It's all food. Just remember that you can eat WAY more veggies than fast food so sometimes you might need the veggies. Just practice portion control. I even have wine (I just weigh it out on my food scale )

I love them. They keep me full. They help with sweet cravings. They are perfect as an afternoon snack or pre-workout.

I like your style

Anything sugar free gives me the bloats and the farts. It doesn't seem with the lesser calories...

Me too. I think it's human nature to eat one cookie and then want more....and more. This was the case for me. I used to have treats here and there but it would turn into a feeding frenzy. I just had to ask myself,do you want to be fat, or do you wanna keep eating junk. I'm not the type that can eat a little and move on. My…
