Check out Squat University on IG. Has tons of great information.

It’s great, try it for yourself. Just make sure the coaches teach you proper technique and listen. It is a viable method of training and can help you achieve great results. I have lost a little over 100 lbs doing Crossfit. The difference in Crossfit and a regular gym is the community. Good Luck!

The same people will ask for your advice when your done. Keep up the good work.

I understand if you don’t like group fitness. At my box we go through cycles usually six to eight weeks. You work on certain lifts and areas then you change so it does give you the chance to build. We use an app so we always know ahead of time what is going on. Like I said every box is not the same with how they program,…

Yes. Every box is different, find one that has good coaching. Also, it's important to listen to your body. Nobody forces you to do the reps at the prescribed weight. Scale the workouts as needed. Check your ego at the door, a lot of people get hurt because they have too much pride and won't use a lighter weight.
-
The biggest misconception about Crossfit is that you have to be in shape. That's not true, but you have to check your ego at the door and understand that you are going to get your butt kicked everyday and that everyone in the box had to start somewhere.

Yes you have it in UK. https://youtu.be/tzD9BkXGJ1M

Awesome job! I am down a little over 100 lbs in a little less than 2yrs of Crossfit. Nothing like the Crossfit community!!! Happy for you!!

Great job Redmama70! Keep up the good work!

Rybo is spot on. All boxes are not the same. Crossfit is planned and programmed but every box is not the same. If you are not getting proper coaching on lifts, I would look at other boxes. The reason why you don't bench a lot in Crossfit is because it's not considered a bench mark lift. Pull ups, squats, deadlift, snatch…

Crossfit for 20 months and lost 100 lbs. Yes, it's an addiction especially after you see the results. I gave up really trying to log Crossfit workouts on MFP. We have a barbell club every Saturday morning at my box and that's when we work on form.

41 and sex has gotten better with wife as we have gotten older. (Married 15 yrs) Gettiing in better shape plays a part for sure. When I get home from lifting, it's always game on

I am currently in a boot for some nerve issues in my foot. I have tried to lock in my diet and then do upper body and core work as much as I can. Hopefully I will be getting my boot off in another week.

Just be consistent. If you have a bad day don't let it turn into two. I have lost 100 with about 15 to 20 to go. If I can do it, you can as well. Key is to be consistent.

For me Hiit is the best for burning fat but I also do two or three days a week of steady state cardio in the mornings. That will help with endurance.

I have been doing crossfit for 9 months and lost 84 lbs. I played football and lifted but nothing has changed my body like crossfit. Our coaches drill you on form, they stop you immediately if your doing something wrong. I find most people who criticize it, have never actually visited a box. I am sure their are some boxes…

I would lift two days a week, at least body weight excersies. Push ups, sit ups, air squats, and lunges. Would make a huge difference.

I was diagnosed with high bp. At 39 I decided this was stupid and I was killing myself. I am almost off the medicine, hopefully my next doctor visit in May I will be done with it.
-
Going through those steps right now. Great job.

I also had issues with late night snacks, esp if watching a ball game. I started using the big dill pickles. I would eat one when I wanted to snack, just a habbit when I watch games. It has worked for me.

Awesome!

Thanks! I was thinking about just working with the bar until I can get more comfortable. Thanks for the video. Will keep working on it.

Weighted. Thanks for the link.

Awesome pics. Very helpful. 100 to 110 is my weight loss goal.

Great job!

Working on it for a month. Feel so much better and starting to notice a difference in clothes. 21 lbs down working out 5 days a week. Trying to stay around 1500 calories a day. Huge change from calories I use to eat.
