  • I get mine by the pound from Nuts.com for $8.99 and my coconut flour for $5.99. I don't use enough to buy larger amounts.
  • My son has periodic bouts with gout and I have had one only and am praying to never have another. He takes Dried Tart Cherries, Hoosier Hill Farm when he feels an episode coming on (normally after eating red meat). He gave me a handful when I needed them and the flare up went away with 2 days. He gets them from amazon.

  • @kimmydear I use bouillon ... but pump it up to BP with (any or all of) butter, MCT oil, collagen and magnesium citrate powder. That gets my extra sodium in and fills me up nicely
  • When I crave salty I eat nice crispy bacon ... but then again that's my answer to a lot of 'cravings' :) @PaleoInScotland Congrats on the weight loss and the will power.

  • @macchiatto I agree. It'll be daily for me :)
  • 'Meticulous May' for me is not about logging everything, since I do that anyway, but will be about choices of what I stuff in my mouth and exercising. I was NOT meticulous with choices in April (even tho I kept under 30 carbs daily and did lose a few pounds) and am now feeling lethargic. I need to get back the energy and…
  • @KnitOrMiss Thanks for that info. I do not have access to what type my son had on hand but they certainly were not sweet :) plus I did not mean to mislead anyone by saying 'they worked'. The discomfort is not gone but it's not painful if you know what I mean. Yep, I did get lucky by knowing what it might be AND having…
  • Thanks, @wabmester . I don't know what was in it either. It was a gift to my neighbor who is a vegetarian. She gave it to me. I'll have a chuck roast ground next time and see what happens/ Cherries are the only natural remedy I've ever heard of ... and they worked.
  • I love it when NSV's like this are posted. I started with 26/28 and am aiming for 10/12 ... your post makes it seem doable. Thanks

  • I don't remember anyone suggesting bouillon. Lots of sodium in one cup. And it tastes good :)

  • @ruffneck813 There is no doubt in my mind, if your diary is accurate, that you are in ketosis. You've been under 20 carbs daily for at least a week so it's almost guaranteed to put you there.
  • Thanks @Sunny_Bunny_ Certainly not something one would consider PURE MCT
  • @KenSmith108 I can always count on you to make me smile ... and sometimes laugh out loud. Thanks

  • Years ago, before starting Keto, my doctor recommended a Red Yeast Rice supplement to 'normalize' my cholesterol numbers. It worked wonders in 3 months ... now that I'm doing keto I continue to take it and the numbers are still good. Don't know if it's necessary now but why change if it's not broken.
