I find that I'm needing smaller pants just as my old work pants need to be replaced. Can't wait to throw them away. It's been 20 years since I wore size 34. I was so traumatized when I had to go up a size that I kept an old pair around for nearly 10 years waiting for the day I would get back into them. I am glad I got rid of them however, no one wears corduroy anymore.9

@Fvaisey like you, I need smaller clothes. I am seriously stalling on buying smaller gym tops, but my shirts are not staying where they belong. It's both a great feeling, and a minor annoyance, right? You rock!!

Ahem. You will buy more after you accidentally flash someone. If you sew, you may be able to just sew a second seam on the inside to tighten it up a bit.3 -
I got a ticket yesterday. Not good.
I noticed that I am 20 lbs lighter than my drivers license weight. Very good.
I've been lieing on my license for decades.
Can't wait to march down to the DOL in a few months and get a new license just for weight.
Lol
I lied on mine too and I'm also 20+ pounds lighter now.0 -

I do sew, and I'm thinking of trying this. All the important things are covered up, but.... yeah. I need smaller shirts.0 -
So I'm sitting here at my desk in a size 15 junior...... I actually got the xxl out of habit but I swam in it and went down to the xl. I could have probably gotten into the L if they'd had it in stock.
It's a print dress in cream and pinks. LOL This is not something I would have EVER worn 5 months ago. Wow. I can finally kiss my blacks and dark colors goodbye!!!6 -
I burned my bacon because of an NSV today. Lol
So, I was cooking bacon in the oven for lunch and I didn't set the oven timer because I was staying in the kitchen doing some cleaning. But then I kept realizing that the tank top I was wearing was open so much at the arms that I could see my lady garments underneath. I went to check how inappropriate I looked in the mirror because I was planning on wearing this all day, even to my sons baseball game later.
Since I decided that I shouldn't flash everyone by wearing last years shirt that's now entirely too big for me, I decided that I could easily sew the straps shorter, bringing it up higher and then I wouldn't be obscene. So, on a hard core ADHD wave of hyper focus, I immediately began seeing the top.
Top fits! Forgotten bacon burned.8 -
Its just coming into winter here so I went to buy a couple of merino jerseys, I grabbed the 3xlarge size off the shelf, the shop assistant said ' Oh no honey, that's not you, try the Large if not the Medium' . I bought the Large and its not even tight! So happy13

WONDERFUL NSVS!!! Congratulations everyone! Even for the burned bacon!1

@Fvaisey:
No one who's anyone, perhaps. However...
I sport cords now and then purely to spite those disloyal duds in my closet that outgrew me.
(If that doesn't take care of the Schadenfreude, I suppose I could get 10 cords for $3 at the Salvation Army one size smaller even than the ones I used to wear and pry myself into them....)1 -

"Burning the bacon" was bound to turn into an urban dictionary term at some point.
But who'd'a thunk it would be, "Making last year's clothes suitable for a PG audience"?

HUGE THANKS TO @Sunny_Bunny_ for keying me back in to the Diabetes/Insulin Resistant Summit series of podcasts going on right now (http://thediabetessummit.com/event) due to me spazzing about a blood lab result. I've found myself HUGELY educated today. I hadn't realized I could fit it all in, and thanks to the ketones for being able to absorb most of it.... SLEEP, folks, sleep...lol.2

I hate clothes shopping, but I took the opportunity while I was in the city to buy new dress pants for work. I'm confident enough with my weight loss to spend money on clothes that fit me now. It felt amazing to put them on in the dressing room and be able to bend and squat. I really had a hard time believing it...
@RalfLott there was a lot of Corduroy on the shelves. Maybe I should have saved those clothes from 25 years ago after all. lol5 -

I bought smaller shirts! There's a hot pink tank I fell in love with, that I would normally have felt self conscious in because it clings to my tummy just a little bit too much. I bought it, and I'm rocking it to yoga tonight. I'm a proud member of Team XL! Woo!10 -

Really?!?
Were there bell-bottoms and painter pants, or just cold-weather affairs that rub together when you walk (or used to )? And, um, were you at Neiman Marcus or Sears? Just curious..
PS Congrats!1 -
I am reporting an NSV of my daughters today.
In November her A1C was >14 and on February 18, a couple of weeks into starting Keto and insulin pump it was 9.5.
Today it is 7!!!!! Their goal for her is between 6.5 and 7. I'm feeling confident that she will eventually do even better than that!
The downside is that she has developed nueropathy in her feet, but they think it will go away in time. And she's up 30 pounds since starting the pump and Keto. But, she's clearly getting healthier and she feels the hunger control so I truly don't believe she's overeating. Just goes to show that the body will do what it needs to do to get healthy!
In August she weighed 100 pounds at 5'5". She looked skeletal and sick. She hates the extra weight she has now but she seems to understand what's most important and that's also a huge NSV for a 21 year old woman!8 -
@Sunny_Bunny_, sometimes B12 can help with neuropathy pain in the feet. I use injections, but the sublingual can help some too! Congratulations on the awesome A1C!!2

Thank you! I used to take it all the time and had the kids all taking it but I've neglected that for a long time now.1 -
@Sunny_Bunny_ How wonderful that your daughter is healing and feeling better! Such a relief for her, and you, too!1

NSV today: I was excited to upload progress pics and compare them this time. And I must say, the results were a little mind blowing. Great feeling!
At yoga last night I was able to hold my plank (advanced position - most folks use their knees) while doing core work, for four minutes. I only dropped to my knees for a breath twice. I used to be unable to even do the core work on my knees, and took pregnancy options.4 -
I've been somewhat absent for a while just due to being insanely busy. I still log most of my meals and check in on the news feed, but I haven't had time for groups. I'm literally working one full-time job, one part-time contract job a few hours a week, one part-time PRN job one day a week, starting a home business, and on the books to start taking clients at least one evening a week at another practice. I say that to say this: I'm functioning! I have never in my life been this busy, nor have I ever even imagined being this busy, but I am managing it, pretty effectively if I might say so myself! Where do I find the energy? I have no idea, but I'm sure LCHF has at least a little bit to do with it.
Also I have to say, there were 205 new comments on this thread when I popped on here this morning, and I read every single one. You guys are AMAZING!4 -

I'm so excited to experience this! My license is currently 70lb in the negative, and really close to my goal weight.2 -
