Instead of hitting Starbucks on the way to my son's soccer game, I made a hot chocolate with half heavy cream and half water....and added cocoa powder and a little swerve. It helped up my fat for the day and I avoided all the deliciousness that may have tempted me.6

I know this sounds weird, but I just posted on someone's thread.
She was mad:
"I'm mad at myself for gaining it all back and then some.
I'm mad that I have to think about my food choices every minute of the day.
I'm mad that I can't eat what I want.
All I think about is the long road ahead...and I'm pissed!"
I remember being just like her.
I've been there for SOOOO many years, especially being just 4'11" tall (which means my body doesn't require a lot of calories or else I put on weight).
It's taken decades for me to get to this point:
--> With this WOE, my diet reduces cravings and I am never hungry.
So instead of being forever hateful and spiteful for being so short and not being able to eat what a 6' tall man can eat, or having to work out 100hours a week, I am enjoying the food I am able to eat daily, with a few treats here and there.
^^^^ That's my NSV!18 -
I went to an open house party today with a TON of food and drank some black coffee. First time a party was all about the people and not the food! SO happy with that!17

NSV= My big bath towel wrapped around me when I got out of the shower today... with no gaps lol13

My husband kept complaining about all my undies being too big and looking like granny panties, so he bought me a bunch and I threw out the entire drawer full of old ones!
Yay for new underwear!24 -
The hubs recently commented that my "bumpy areas" (cellulite) are almost gone. Yay!
But then again he also said I'm losing my butt...double edge sword that one...8 -

There's help for that! lunges, lunges, lunges! I have a small butt but since I started doing fitness (the girl I follow does a million lunges lol) my butt has gotten higher and slightly bigger lol Will never have a jlo butt but hey I'll take any improvement lol3 -
Fit into a pair of jeans that have never been over my hips before!13

When I started this WOE I explained it to my husband and said I wasn't asking him to do it too, but please just support my desire to do it. He does all the cooking and immediately discontinued starches in our dinners. While he has things like beans and fruit and I don't, he has joined me in this WOE. (I am so happy about this as Alzheimers runs in his family)
As a result our kids are also eating like this with the exception of some whole grain bread for sandwiches, fruit, beans and the occasional treat (something sweet maybe once a week).
Then yesterday, my mom said "Hey, about this no sugar thing you're doing...tell me more." She said my not eating sugar (how I'm describing this to people) has made her more aware of all the crazy amounts of sugar in things...like 15 grams in her coconut water..."Is that high, Jess?" (Um, YES!) She has never had a weight issue, but has unexplained high cholesterol, so I thought she would lecture me on the high fat part. I laid it all out without being pushy beyond "This works really well for me" and she's going to give it a try. My mother, the queen of lowfat everything!!! lol8 -
I met a doctor this last week while in Colombia who was 100% on board with keto for diabetes and was as irritated as many of us on here about the ridiculous recommendations from the ADA. The real NSV was that he told me when he first saw me, he assumed I was a triathlete based on my low BF. When he found out I was keto, he was like, "oh, that explains it." I have always been active, but cutting the carbs definitely changed my body composition significantly.9

I love all of this. I hope I'll be able to post again soon but not until my butt is fully back on track. You are all amazing. @Sunny_Bunny_ I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven if Rowdy came home with new undies for me. I'm not sure he'd even be able to walk into that section of the store for fear of horrible embarrassment - I'm loving that about your man. That has to be empowering and sexy feeling!5

Wedding this weekend, got a few comments about my weight loss. However, can't help that part of my thinks my weight loss isn't very visible so those comments are more of a courtesy because I have posted about weight loss and my new WOE on Facebook so people just trying to be polite.2

My hubs and I have kinda reversed roles. I'm the one that does home repairs and he's the one that does any kind of shopping and picks out our shower curtains and towels and such! Lol
I absolutely hate shopping, so we are a perfect fit!
There was more to that NSV, that was very flattering comments regarding the fact that I needed new garments
He actually asked if I had lost more weight, which I REALLY needed since I'm still up 5 pounds from before I started lifting. I'm good about trusting the process but I can't lie and say I hate that scale right now! It helped renew my confidence that I don't need to purposely and rigorously force an aggressive calorie deficit, and just keep doing what I'm doing.7 -

My NSV today is that my husband said that I am getting my "sassy walk" back lol16
-
The elastic waistbands of my trunks and scrub pants used to roll due to my belly pushing them down. That doesn't happen anymore and my scrub tops are really baggy.13
-
two NSV's today. First I was able to wear one of my favorite tops I haven't been able to wear in two years.... without it being snug on the arms! And second I actually got ID'd at the store for lottery tickets.... ok seriously I am almost 40, so it was NOT because I look 17 lol but I am taking it as a physical improvement compliment anyway lolol10

Awesome!1
