  • Freaking keep going! :)
  • Fitting into size 34 jeans at 6'1 was the best feeling. Knowing I am thinner and in better shape than when I was 22. My depression, despite being actively surveiled by the FBI and being labeled a child predator one day (who knows mental illness is a *kitten*) is being lessened by the exercise I am doing. Walking/jogging 8+…
  • I lost 13 pounds of water weight after eating bad for a week. The next week I went from 243 to 230 in one week and all of it was water related. So tuck in for the ups and downs. It happens.
  • Lady with the Spinning Head by U2.
  • I do whatever my Doctor, who went to Medical school, for God knows how many years, that is well trained in medicine and actual science of the body, tells me to do. Not someone who is like "ya know just stop losing weight" yeah right.
  • The reason I am waiting for another 15 pounds to drop is because of my hypertension (high blood pressure). I figure if i am going to be pushing myself, my heart would benefit from having 15 pounds less mass to have to push blood through while weight lifting. I just want the pressure off my heart and give it less struggle…
  • I lost 91 pounds in 10 months. I am at 1200 calories now. If I want to eat, I exercise. If you do a 12 mile walk, you can eat an extra 720 calories. That amount in itself is a whole meal/multiple snacks. I do not eat big in the morning or lunch. I am a night time dinner/snack machine. I save everything until the night,…
  • You realize that at 189 you are in "normal bmi" category right? 155 pounds and you are pushing unhealthy thin. Maybe try to get to 180-190 and then doing body re-composition to shape the way your body looks without losing weight. If you 'look' fat you can change that without losing weight because you think you are heavy. I…
  • For 12 miles in a day I just put down 700 calories burned. Makes it simple for me. I don't eat them back. When I do it is 4 or 500 of them. I am 205 lbs now. Walking has been a Godsend to me this past year. The physical part is one thing but the real kicker was the glue it removed from my brain in processing, emotion,…
  • Just look at him and say "How quaint" then "excuse me".
  • Where is that from? The calculation? Other sites have me burning a minimum of 100 calories per mile. For a 180 pound person, I'm 216. MFP really needs to update their calories burned calculator, if that is true then wtf. Misleading as hell! Thanks again for the help.
  • Ok, is that pretty much semi accurate? At that calculation I am burning 777 calories for 12 miles. Does that take into account my rate of speed 3.5 to 4mph? MFP is telling me I am losing way more than that. Almost 500 calories more. 4.2 mile walk @ 3.5mph nets me 272 burned (with your calc). Also there are places online…
  • I am assuming 100 calories burned per mile walked at 3.5mph isn't an over estimate at 215 pounds 6'1 height. If I walk at that rate every day (I do 12 miles per day roughly) that is 1200 calories PER DAY if I don't eat them back, in 3 days I would lose 1 pound from exercise alone. Without counting my calorie deficit. Don't…
  • I'm sitting here reading your post while enjoying a large iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts with extra cream, 1 sugar and mocha swirl. Having a liquid breakfast this morning. Ain't no way in hell I'm giving this up. Work your *kitten* off so you can enjoy the hell out of it I say.
  • So when it's flushing retained water, retained water is weight correct? So it's flushing weight? If I don't drink water, that weight will be on me right? That is why I like drinking it. No temporary water weight or as much in my body. Will drinking diet soda like mad have the same effect? I would imagine the chemicals in…
  • I used to do it religiously every morning butt bootay naked. But now that I am trying to lose 30 pounds and hit goal by 2017, I'm thinking the less I know what my weight is, the more prone I'll be to work that much harder to lose it. I don't want to get inflated or deflated every morning emotionally. Just work my *kitten*…
  • http://www.machinehead-software.co.uk/bike/speed_distance_time_calc.html. This website does a decent job at calculating how fast in mph distance is traveled. This morning I did 4.2 miles to work in 1 hour and 8 minutes. That is 3.7 mph according to that site. I just start my stopwatch (on android phone) and then stop it…
  • I've gone from 296lbs Dec 15 of 2015 to 216lbs today. I am putting in 9 miles of walking at 3.5 MPH per day. I move at a good rate on the ground. I map my distance with googles walking maps. I don't use gps because they haven't been accurate. I first do 4 miles and time it. Then I do 5 miles in the afternoon and time that.…
  • The body works on a weekly clock when burning calories right? I always think that if I don't eat them that day, they are gone. But it is a weekly schedule the body burns fat correct? Oreos tomorrow Sara!
  • Yeah. I am wicked tight with logging. Have to be to lose 30 by 2017. 1300 is low for 6'1 but I have been doing it fine for the past 4 months. I just exercise when I want to eat more. Thanks! :)
  • I'll save it and have my body burn off that much more fat. I don't drink :) Sound good?
  • Losing 30 pounds by midnight of December 31st. I am going to try to walk 10 miles a day until the end of the year. Probably won't be able to do every day but I am going to give it my best. I hope you guys hit your goals!
  • Gained the ability of self control. No longer am I bound to giving in. I can actually avoid pastries when I am very hungry. In the past, if I was hungry and in an Italian bakery, well let's just say you're not seeing me until 3 to 4 hours later. For me gaining the self control to say no and prolong satisfaction was the…
  • 6'1 41 years old SW: 328 CW: 220 GW: 185 or 180. See how I look. Once I hit goal though, gym time it is.
  • I have a goal weight, target bmi, physical body shape type and lifestyle change goal. Multiple things. The goal weight for me is more like I fscking did it type goal. But it will be pretty cool to hit that number after a year of work. The number I picked, 185lbs, will put me in a normal bmi range. Also hitting that number…
  • How did you phase yourself out of it? It is definitely emotional eating. My stomach is full. I am italian and love food. I have lost over 110 pounds. I think it is both a self control issue and also the need to feel full/taste good food. I am losing weight no problem, it's just that I really love good food.
  • I just had a tomato without olive oil, just salt and pepper. It does the job for me. I like tomatoes, not olive oil. The oil just made the salt and pepper for me coat better when stirring them. I don't care for the taste of it as much. If I eat 2 of them, I am good for a bit. I am 220 pounds. I like to snack at night. That…
  • Wow. There is 120 calories in a tablespoon of the olive oil I use. So lets remove that. Yeah. Salt and pepper is good enough for me.
  • I am so in this! Weight in 2013: 328 SW: 296 back on 12/14/2015 CW: 222 today 6am 9/9/2016 Goal weight at 11:59pm on Dec 31st: 192 pounds. I am going to work my *kitten* off and try to crush this. Good luck everyone!
  • I am re-framing the way I think of cheat days. If I am going to have it, it is going to be one day. And in that day I'll have a few cheat goodies. I am going to turn into Walk-O. My robot other form. When I get cravings, like Voltron, all the treats will unite and I will turn into Walk-O and speed out of the house into…
