No need to miss anything! I have Celiac, unfortunately it's taken quite some time to heal but frankly the availability of quality products is amazing now even from 10 years ago. You get to discover new to you foods and re-discover old favourites. I had grilled cheese for lunch yesterday, only give up things you won't miss…

That got hostile again, fast like! I didn't read it as fat shaming either, just observational curiosity. I also didn't read heiliskrimsli's posts as unfair either. I love learning about all the different viewpoints, even despite the drama. A few responses off and on in this thread have made me wince but I am a bit of a…

I'm still laughing about this comment and it's now Friday :D Come back MrStabbems!

That salad sounds so lovely, lemur! Mine was a stolen baked potato half with cheez whiz and some chicken breast. Maybe stolen is a harsh word, appropriated maybe? From the boyfriends fridge. I won't ever cheat on you, but I will steal your leftovers :p

Surprised this is still going! Even for a debate forum there has been little bits of nastiness, those that haven't seen it, lucky ducks! Or maybe they are less sensitive? Some of the comments have been hard to read but it's all been interesting in some form. Many are taking this quite personally and I hope any hostilities…

I was wondering that too, burns the eyes!

Oh it's here. At least its Downtown, spotted it at the one on Front Street close to the Metro Convention centre. Saw people walking with it and was like dafuq is that? Loving the unicorn memes and my god that mans hands are huge!

/agreed So Many Quotes of Quotes Informative topic, thanks OP!

Do you think that there's a point where you would end a relationship over weight gain and if so what would that point be?
When it becomes impossible to share the couch.
LMAO! The struggle is real, couch sharing is clutch!

Is the bickering over and the thread back on topic? mmm gyro.

Damn, that ratio would be ridiculously delicious though! I also oil pop on the stove, for a personal popcorn for one, I use 2 Tablespoons of kernels, to 1 tablespoon of an oil of my choice. Then salt the ever living heck out of it lol. I probably like the salt a tad more than the oil :# Entered in it totals at: 193 cals…

Yes, you should have a say. You have contractually obligated yourself to another human being for the rest of both of your lives, you get a say in everything from finances and families to what colour you dye your hair/shave your head and everything in between. Communication should never be shied away from. You know your…

Domino's small GF pepperoni pizza, I was lazy :(

I think it is a good idea but is specific to each couple. I was married for 10 years, no children, separated now for over 2 years and I think the main difference of why some could need it is that sometimes, people turn into the nastiest version of themselves, almost unimaginable versions, whether they are the one leaving…

Absolutely love her site. I have been cooking from it for over 6 years, just excellent in general but when she did the SNAP challenge, it was an even greater eye-opener. I am up in Ontario, Canada, so price wise, I haven't been able to match up to how much she can save but it helped me focus and get inventive. Anyone who…

I fully support the eating of Snickers. OM NOM NOM NOM! When I started my journey I was having some emotional issues, when I am stressed, food desire plummets, and I remember thinking that I wasn't being fair to my body. I could keep broth down and some crackers but I couldn't push myself to eat more at that time. I would…

I just started watching it and I have a confession...It makes me hungry :# every time its on. #donthateme

My mom  She started this journey a few weeks after I did, and hit her goal right alongside me. She was experiencing similar fears and doubts, and then it all shifted for me. I had been the motivator for myself and then, her inspiration. I had an example to set. One of confidence, camaraderie and assurance. Thinking…

That changing the little button to maintenance may affect you mentally more than you thought. I initially was looking forward to it, little bit more leeway calorie wise and maybe less pressure. From day one of being in maintenance, my stress exploded! I know the science behind it all, like you, having had success and…

I adore mine! It's a higher end Kitchen Aid that can fit quite large things in it, but only takes up the footprint of a small microwave 14' x 10'. Extremely easy to clean, many features and no, it doesn't in any way heat up my teeny tiny studio apartment like the oven does. It is just over 8 years old and very well taken…

Apologies for not having anything to add, I just wanted to applaud all the lovely and well thought out replies and responses. It's nice to read and not inwardly cringe, its also educational for those of us who have reached our goals and are looking at maintenance. I didn't know there were more detailed blood tests either,…

Too many labels and people potentially getting their panties/briefs in a bunch. A meal can be a vegan meal or a gluten free meal or a meat extravaganza. In the end though, it was just a meal that you hopefully enjoyed and doesn't need to be redefined or picked apart. Good luck and I hope your tummy distress has lessened.…

Shark week usually kills my appetite, so no 'cheating' per se. Do whatever works for you, within reason and good luck!

Jerk rub or curry rub make it that I enjoy fish now, I get free fish every month and wanted to find a way to like it and that did the trick. One other, is if you've ever had sashimi at a restaurant, usually you might pair it with pickled ginger, soy sauce, wasabi. I rub the fish with the wasabi, splash some GF soy sauce on…

Hi, There will be some who laugh, some who taunt and some who admire. You have zero control over it. There's a freedom in knowing things are not in your control, embrace it. I've had change thrown at me, while they yelled 'give up and buy a burger!' I was about 20 pounds overweight when it happened, I kept jogging until…

Hi there, If this is a recent switch, you may just need to distract yourself in new ways. Video games always help me ;-) or just keeping my hands and mind occupied. I understand that will not work as far as when it woke you from sleep though. I 100% agree with Ready2Rock206, I remember back in school, being hungry when…

Exactly what I was thinking, though in a way, Nicki brought it back, which was nice of her ;-) Everyone else still know all the words by heart from the original, but can't remember where their keys are half the time? Ahhhh brain, you tricky minx!

Lol, yes but at work, where the coffee is free, they do not stock it :-( I have tried a few places outside work but I like coffee black so decaf can be frustratingly hit or miss and I don't like to pay good money for bad coffee.
