So many happened this week. I packed away all my large leggings because they were starting to fall down during burpees, and broke out the mediums. I shaved 30 seconds off my mile time and ran a 7:17 min mile (9 months ago, my fastest time was around 10 mins), I can now do ten pushups in a row. And I tried on my old pair of…

tried on some size 8 pants that have been packed away in my too-small clothes bin, and they zipped and buttoned. :) Also, currently on the second to last hole left on my belt, and 7 months ago, the belt wouldn't go around my waist. And I can do 5 pushups with proper form. And I can do over 12 burpees without stopping. And…

I'm going to a small local gym. The guys who run it are fantastic. They do 12-week cycles of periodization programming. It's tough but it's working.

just tried on my swim suit this morning. The leg opening does not cut in as much any more! Also, I bought a pair of size 8 kapris yesterday. Even in high school, my default is size 10. My wedding dress was size 10.

I eat mostly plant based for health, but I log to make sure I don't over eat. Set an actualy fitness goal. Mine was a half marathon. I signed up, paid for it, and started training. I remind myself that if I don't run, I'll fail my marathon. Oh and a heart rate monitor is your friend, because MFP overestimates how many cals…

For me it is remembering not to fall off the wagon. Eating a cookie should not screw with your whole day. Just eat it and move on.

I am 5'3'' and I weigh 156 down from 174, and I want to be 130 as well. Have no idea what it would be like since I have never been that thin since puberty.... but that is what I want. :) I am 26

so, I could not even run a mile in January without stopping to walk because my joints would hurt. I just ran 9 miles this morning... in 90 minutes.

the six week Eat to Live challenge would work well for you. Plenty of nutrition but it takes a ton of discipline

I have a garmin forerunner 735 and its the best ever for reals. it tracks sleep, steps, heartrate through the wrist (but it can connect to a chest strap). The great thing about the HR monitor is that is tracks your exact calories burned during the day. it automatically syncs with myfitnesspal apps and does smart…

I have a Garmin forerunner 735, and while it was pricey, it has been the best money I ever spent. It automatically yncs with myfitnesspal app, tracks my steps, tracks with both a chest strap and a wrist heart rate monitor, calculates my recovery time, and has activity settings for swimming, running, biking, cardio etc...…

I am 5 foot 3 and I have never been lighter than 150 pounds since I hit puberty. I don't know what it is like to be thin. After 2 kids, I am now hovering around 167, and I have a hard time believing I will ever succeed at being lighter just because I don't have that "thin" benchmark (high school weight etc) like so many…

Before, I would have gotten up and watched a few episodes of this or that or netflix while the kids watched cartoons. This morning, we went out for a jog in the stroller and listened to some music as we played with a ball in the living room.

my husband is an addiction recovery counselor and works with addiction every day. He believes in empowering those who have substance abuse problems, instead of labeling them to take away their power. So, instead of saying, "I am addicted," which takes away a person's choice, he teaches people to say, "I am dependent on…
