I read the book and listen to the podcasts. Tried it for a while but found myself becoming super low on energy due to lack of carbs. Starting wanting to gorge on sugar at the end of the day. The recipies are delicious.

Oh ok. I was always under the impression that it was the other way around. That you'd retain water after a high carb day. This stuff is so confusing and all over the place.

I have the Vivosmart and it's great but the Garmin Connect app and Myfitnesspal do not play nicely. I always have syncing problems between the two.

It helps me with my chronic heartburn. When I eat it every day, after about two weeks, heartburn disappears like it never existed. When I stop eating coconut oil, heartburn returns. Coincidence? Don't know. Don't care. I just do what works.

Sounds to me like your metabolism has adjusted to your current lifestyle and diet. I know it sounds counter productive, but you should consider eating at maintenance or even slightly above for a week or two, then resume your current 1700. Get your body rev'd up again. I'm no expert but I hit a wall recently at 1,800 a day…
