I LOVE going for daily walks. But where in the world do you find time for that many steps? I can only go on my lunch hour, and I'm still only topping out at around 6,000 steps for the entire day!

Honestly, I'm suspicious of "net carbs." You're still putting carbs into your body ... I was told 45-60 carbs per meal with 15 carbs for a snack. I've been too lax with all of that (and not getting in any exercise and my numbers are reflecting it.) Re-focus STARTING NOW.

OK, where do I go to find the Goonies one?

I'm a Garmin guy. They do what I need to track fitness stuff, and not much more. Price is reasonable and connect to MFP.

American, but my family lived near Montreal back in the 1800s.

Ran to the store on my lunch break and bought some new walking shoots. Ready to kick some A1C butt.

Yeah, the dietician I talked to commented that she wished they could just put medication in the drinking water because MOST people with it don't know it.

I was diagnosed as diabetic about three years ago. I did so well on my diet and getting exercise, a new doctor said it's probably more like prediabetic. However, I've been working 12 hour days at a desk job and getting no exercise. And while I don't feel like I've gotten off plan with what I eat, I'm a little afraid of my…

It's not calories I'm worried about, it's carbs (diabetic). So for me, it's fries.

Yes! I'm at work for both lunch and dinner, so it's cold food or something from the microwave (used to be a LOT of drive-thru.) It can be really frustrating as I'm not a reheat-leftovers kind of guy.

Normally, I hate technology, but I love my tracker. I like the numbers so far as that it gives me goals that I take like a game. For instance, it's cold, windy and raining here today. Not going to go out for a walk. So I'm tracking myself walking around the house, aiming for my daily goal by using mini goals throughout the…

I hear ya! Just days away now from 40. NOT taking it well.

Also a Garmin guy. Just got a VivoSmart HR. Love it.

Yes, my Garmin info isn't showing up over here, either. It's like the sync of the two doesn't take.
-
Yes, sodium is ridiculous. And carbs. I didn't even know what they were until they became an issue.
-
Yeah, I can't get my Garmin app to show up, either. They say they are synced, but nothing transfers over.
-
Walked two miles before work.

I'm a Garmin guy. I just got the VivoSmart HR. Love it.

For me, monitoring calories and walking are what did it. Now, I did it pretty slowly, but I don't really have loose skin. I also had some back aches when I first started and was using a bike. But I don't use a bike or have back aches anymore. 90 percent walking for me. Though now that I've lost, I probably should do…

I didn't notice, that, but I did notice there's a lot of carbs in certain Vitamin C gummies.

I've wondered the same thing. And meat will weigh differently before and after you cook it.
-
Interesting. I wonder why that is. Never been an alcohol fan, though.

I love Garmin products. Had a VivoFit in the past and loved it. It's your basic activity tracker and links up to myfitnesspal and some other apps. I just got a VivoSmart HR yesterday. It's pretty much the VivoFit PLUS some smart technology things like telling you the weather, letting you control the music on your phone,…

Moonstroller ... I'm 6'0. I was maybe in that weight range in junior high. :)

Nutrisystem. LOVED that program. The only complaint is that it's expensive and you have to buy an entire month's groceries up front. Who does that?! That being said, there's no real secret to it. If you plug your food into my fitness pal, stay under the goals set for you, and get some exercise, it's the same thing. It's…

I've lost quite a bit of weight from watching calories and walking. That's it. No, I wouldn't say I'm in shape, but I'm a lot lighter.
-
I suppose it depends on what you mean by "cheat day." For instance, I'm going to a restaurant with my wife on Saturday, and I fully intend to have my favorite meal, a country-fried steak. However, I'm going to be careful with my calories the rest of the day, still do my exercise and it's not going to include a bunch of…

Calorie deficits and WATER. LOTS of water.

Pretty good. Bought a second box this week. Same stuff in every box, so it's a bit boring.
