First of all congrats on quitting smoking. Replacing with health habits such as exercise helps a lot. I'm currently on more anxiety/anti antidepressants than I'd care to list, but no longer on Lexapro. When on it I was able to lose weight, but it did seem harder than before Lex. I think for me it was the lethargy. You say…

My husband is an avid runner, but 3 decades of running and marathons finally took its toll on his Achilles. Like you he rested and did PT for almost a year. He recently started going to hot yoga. It allows him to lengthen the tendon without stressing it.

I usually post weights on Sunday. I weighed Saturday just to see because I was going to meet friends that evening. The number last week was 132.0. On Saturday it was 134.8. To be honest I felt really defeated. I knew I put the work in this week. HOW IN THE HELL CAN I GAIN ALMOST 3LB. Deep breath. It's my TOM, I had Chinese…

Don't get so hung up on the running streak that you run injured. Otherwise fantastic progress my friend!
-
Not bad at all! Now you can get back on track and watch the numbers drop.

5'1" SW 165 PW 134 CW 132.8 GW 115 Pretty surprised and happy about this loss over the holiday week. Weighed a day early, because I refuse to weigh on a holiday. Will indulge a little tonight just like I did Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day, but now I know that a little isn't going to stall my loss. Hopefully, I won't worry so…

Sounds like you've got a good plan. There really is something for everyone. Sometimes it just takes time to find what fits.

As long as I'm working out, my diet seems pretty healthy. When I stop working out, I start craving high fat/carby goodness. Here are some things I do. Some are may be odd, but it's what I do. Weekends are tricky. I weigh on Sunday to keep me on target Friday and Saturday. I don't log at all on Sunday to give my brain a…

Haven't seen many weights posted lately. How is everyone doing? I for one do not look forward to weighing in Sunday (after the holiday), but I will. Folks need to see the ups and downs I suppose. By the way those who post to be added, you already are. To benefit most from the group, post your weekly weigh ins. Also nice to…

I like for people to comment on my wall/newsfeed. It makes me feel like someone other than myself cares how I'm doing. I do check this message board daily so that work to, but I find it hard to keep up with people.

I weighed a few days early to avoid a bloated Christmas weight. I plan on eating maintenance the next few days. SW: 165 PW: 135.6 CW: 134.0

No reason to be embarrassed. We're all here because we want to lose weight and have a support structure. I'm proud of you for opening up. -Nikki

0.2 can be fluctuation, but rededicating yourself is never a bad thing! Good luck! Sunday is my weigh in day, but I'm doing it Saturday. Who wants to do that on Christmas morning. Ugh

Biscuits and wine are killers. I had tons of cookies/biscuits & fudge at my place. I've managed to only have one after dinner each night. It's tough though. Now work is a smorgasbord of treats. I just stay as far from the break rooms as possible. Good news is that even at 100 over your weight loss calories, you are still…

How is everyone doing?

Don't wait for January to make the changes. Change now while your motivation is high. I know it's only 1.5 weeks but why waste the time. Best of luck!

That is a lofty goal, 10lb per month is a lot. I gained 60+ in 2 years, I'm down about 30 pounds. Still a little on the self loathing side, but working on it. The added pounds can suck the joy out of life if we let it. Only real solution is to stick with your plan of healthy eating and exercise. Best of luck.

I should have posted yesterday, but was a bit bummed SW: 165 PW: 135 (Wed not Sunday) CW: 135.6 GW: 115 Weight last Sunday was 135.8, so on the week I lost. No more mid week weights for me. Twice the anxiety, not return on investment.

I teach as well and this sums it up for me. As instructors we want you to get the most out of a ride in the safest way. Form cues are one way to make people check themselves.

Nice loss. Great job!

No this week I took a mid week weight just to see how I was doing. That was Sunday to Wednesday. Doubt I'll do that again. Weighing keeps me honest but it also stresses me out.

First congratulations on your weight loss. You are right that a 20 something has different nutritional needs that you or I. She has a lot of obstacles, but she can overcome them if she is serious about this. Questions to ask: How much does she weigh? How much weight does she have to lose? How active is she? Does she want a…

Looking for some more friends (I've added many from this thread and they are great) who are active on day to day news feed. I guess I'm needy, but I need the interaction to feel like part of a supportive community. Please consider adding me if this is you... Thanks, Nikki SW: 165 PW:135.4 CW 135.0

Just joined the group. Will do my first weigh in tomorrow. It scares the hell out of me, but I'll post it.

I could use some friends. I was very successful 2 years ago. I got down to 108 (I'm short), but work and depression took me back up to 155. I'm down to 140 or so, but struggling. It would be great to have some accountability and friends. Oh I'm an avid cyclist and an aerobics instructor.
