How would they do that? They took a urine sample and did a basic urine analysis

I joined a few years ago but never bothered to really educate myself properly so I didn't get much out of it. This time I am educating myself and understand a lot more. I have lost 10 lbs in all from a year ago when I first started and am doing much better now that I understand it is a lifestyle choice that can only come…

Hi, I have been vegetarian for a while now. I eat a lot of the quorn range. Tofu, mince, chicken pieces, chicken sandwich slices. Linda McCartney does a wonderful range too. I love the rosemary and onion sausages and they are only 66 calories per sausage compared to 200 per sausage of pork. I do eat eggs. I don't eat fish.…

I love this post and wish I had found it earlier. I am a newbie but I am now educating myself as to how weight loss works. This is the most positive mindset I have encountered because I can do the math and then I know whether I should expect to be seeing a loss or not. This really prepares me mentally and I say, ok so this…

I think this is a great forum. I'm sorry OP feels this way. I know I probably ask questions that have been asked 100 times. And I expect to some extent to get some irritable person that feels annoyed by it and ' points out the obvious' or put their own penny's worth in about certain ways and means of doing things. Does…

Just sending my salter ultimate accuracy Ines back. They were way out. By 6 lbs. I'll stick yo good old fashioned manual salter one. Only problem is they don't show up small increments of weight loos do you have to wait for a whoosh of weight loss

Is there a British version of USDA?

Even just getting out for a little walk in daylight is a good start
-
Ok, I'll try that. We normally cook in batches which is why I weighed it after but I think I will need to do this little experiment once so I know.
-
Thank you for this... we have just done a little experiment and the new dig scales are out! I filled a container with water that was equal to 5 kegs spot on and then weighed on the manual one. It was correct. I then weighed on the new dig one and it showed in kegs that it was 4.55 kg and then in lbs and it weighed that it…

Do you calibrate manual scales by sliding the pin to the zero? If so that has been done recently.

Hi, thank you for this and if I had been given this information on the day then I might have actually proceeded. The papers look interesting so I have saved them and I was told there was no alternative for people who didn't take egg eg, veggies and vegans. Maybe a change for next winter! However, I am wondering about the…

I have been off exercise duties for 1 year.... I had a widespread hip bursitis which cleared up with physio and steroid injection. Core muscles defiantly address this issue and physio can give you exercises for this. I also had a Labral hip tear/injury ( same hip) and have been hoping to avoid surgery ....... which is why…

Interesting post. I am a flu vaccinators for my area of work...... However, I do not have the flu vaccine. On receiving the training to give this vaccine to a PGD I was told that it may be difficult for me to Be an effective vaccinator because of my unwillingness to have the jab myself. I really didn't see this as an issue…

Thank you. I think I am confusing myself by using MFP and also looking at tdee. When in fact I need to keep them seperate
-
Well, twice in 7 days I have been 300 under tdee
-
I weight everything with a scale or scan the barcode
-
2336 is maintenance tdee
-
Sorry, so I have a calorie intake of 1560 my MFP per day. Today I did walking and burnt 224 calories but I ate 1910 today..... I have done this twice this week. Does this help?
-
What foods are high in sodium?
-
So my tdee is 2443 x7= 17,1001 over a week and I have eaten 11945 over a week so that means a difference of 5,146 over the week so I should be on target for approx 1.5lbs?
-
Thank you for explaining, I'm not trying to put on weight I'm trying to lose and I have over eaten my caleries x3 days this week but still under my tdee. I was trying to work out whether I should expect to see a gain so I don't feel disheartened when I say on sunday

Where would I find the Fitbit user group? Also does the Fitbit sync with the MFP? Last question I promice
-
Sorry to bug you again, I have just been looking at these online and I want one that has a face on it that you tap to see calories burned etc. But not all the Fitbit have a face and some just have a light that shows up. Which one do you have ? And if you don't have the one with a tappable face do you have to log onto your…

Could you tell me how it works out an accurate tdee please. I am thinking of getting one for this reason but trying to understand how it works
-
Can you explain.... so you wear a fit bit and it tells you how many calories you have burned daily even without moving? So do you adjust your intake daily according to what your Fitbit says?
-
I'm finally understanding it all! Thank you so much.... it's much easier when you understand how it works
-
absolutely not. i don't read diaries. this whole journey is about me
