Alta HR not syncing
So my food diary from MFP has stopped syncing over this morning. Even on the rest of the days 10 days worth since I’ve had it all calories have disappeared. I have unpaired and repaired, forced sync, Bluetooth off and on and WiFi, uninstall and reinstall. Nothing has worked apart from the Fitbit reset which started showing…

Fitbit gone wrong
I have posted in the Fitbit area and sent a message to fitbit. Neither has attracted any help. Today my Fitbit started going wrong. It doesn’t display correct information on previous day tiles and shows all the same information for today. It hasn’t logged my walking exercise down today... I have it set to come on after 30…

Tdee
So if MFP have me at a tdee of 2,175 but my fit tracks that I have burned 2,400-2,800 ( depending on how active I am..... some days 16,000 steps, some 10,000 steps and some 7-8,000 steps) then averaging out over the week I burn about 2,400 a day. Should I think that the 2,400 is my tdee? Because MFP can only go on the…

Higher calories with Fitbit. Evidence it may be inaccurate
Now, the new thing which I am noticing over the course of 5 days I have been using it. I think it is estimating too higher calorie burn. Bear with and I will explain. I think I also have evidence to prove this. I did MFP for 1 year. My weight stagnated about 3 months ago when I decided to give my body a rest from reduced…

Can I clarify my understanding
I just recieved my Fitbit Alta HR yesterday and would like to clarify a few things. I am now able to get a better idea of my TDEE so I should monitor for a week and then take a look at what I am burning on average then divide by 7 OR work out the days I am not as active like so far today I have only burned 1,573 then maybe…

Weekly calorie bar
After resetting my weight loss per week when I log onto the weekly amount the bar is still showing a limit of 1680 rather than 1460. Any ideas anyone?

Weight loss rate
Have lost 31lbs and have 20 left to lose. When should I change my weekly weight loss rate... it's been set at 1.5 lbs per week but I have been averaging 1.1lbs per week. When should I reduce to 1lbs per week? As I know the closer you get you need to review weekly rates Tia

50 shades darker
To see or not to see? Also what did people think of 50 shades of grey? It's not the sort of film I would normally watch. It popped up as being available on Netflix so I watched it. I had heard previously when it came out there was a lot of criticism about it with regards to it glorifying abuse in women! When I watched it…

Is this possible?
So 1 year ago I made a small change. I decided not to take sugar in my coffee anymore. As the months went by I stopped putting it on cereal / porridge. Now one year later I don't really have much of a sweet tooth and do not add sugar to anything now. I had a small slice of homemade cake that a colleague brought in today…

Hit my first target.
Now what? I started out needing 56 lbs to lose. I have just lost my first 14lbs so I now have 42 lbs left. I do mini increments of 7 lb weight loss each time. I am 36 female and weigh 203 lbs 5 ft 5 in. I previously put in to lose 1.5 lbs a week and have been averaging 1.2 a week. My question is would it be sensible to…

Neon yellow coloured urine.
So, I am having this issue. I have an appointment for Monday with my gp but am just quite anxious and wondered if anyone else has come across this. Apparently fruit and veg, vit B and riboflavin can cause neon yellow coloured urine. Now I do not take any vitamin supplements... never have. Could this really be because I'm…

Sodium
So I have just been looking through my weekly nutrients and only twice in a 3 months period I have met my sodium goals. I believe about 2 grams of sodium a day is what is allocated. Not sure if this in keeping with government guidelines? But anyway I never seem to be over 1-1.2 grams. I must add I do not add salt to…

Looking at the charts
I have just been looking at my weekly caleries on MFP. Sorry to seem stupid but what are net caleries and under/ over net calories. I think I have an idea..... the goal is what it is 1530, is net the daily average after compiling data for a week....? And the net under or over is by how much you was under or over your…

The weight of rice
I was astonished today when I weighed my rice.... now I weighed it after it had been cooked. Is this correct? Because 75 grams of rice is 224 calories.... well this was a very small amount... not enough to have been called a meal?

Frustrated with new scales
So I have some salter scales that are not digital. I like these scales but you have to lose quite a bit 2lds to see the needle going down and this can become quite disheartening. So I decided to buy some digital scales so I could at least see small changes. Well they arrived and I am getting different readings depending on…

Confused
So when it comes to tdee to put on 1lb of weight you have to eat your tdee and an extra 3,500 calories? Or say you eat at 2400 tdee then just the extra to make it up to 3,500 caleries?..
-
TDEE
I think I am finally getting it. Can I just check on something. Can a persons TDEE change ? Or will it always be the same? And if 3,500 calories = 1lb then that means as long as you are in a 3,500 deficit over a 7 day period then you should lose 1lb of weight? And should you use your own TDEE to work out what your weekly…
