Now what? I started out needing 56 lbs to lose. I have just lost my first 14lbs so I now have 42 lbs left. I do mini increments of 7 lb weight loss each time. I am 36 female and weigh 203 lbs 5 ft 5 in.
I previously put in to lose 1.5 lbs a week and have been averaging 1.2 a week. My question is would it be sensible to continue with the 1.5lb loss per week? It only shaves an additional 20 calories a day off ( 1520 to 1500). It has been very manageable so I'm not keen to cut down to 1lb a week off and eat more. Does this seem sensible? I saw a post a post somewhere about a rough guide for sensible/ realistic ponds you should be trying to lose per week based on how much you have to lose but I cannot find it.
Thanks in advance

i lost 2 a week consistently until i hit about 160. Guidelines are just that, guidelines. Be honest with yourself if you still feel energetic and healthy your probably fine.

edit: also im curious iv heard 7 pounds way to many times now to be coincidence why did you choose 7 pound increments? I did it in 5s beause it was just simple and easy to say "yay im 155" or "yay im 180"

    Hi,
Thank you for your input. Um, 7lb increments..... I have a fair bit to lose and wanted to set smaller goals and just thought 7 pounds seemed appropriate....
some people put their goal weight as their final weight they actually want to get too.... that wouldn't work for me motivation wise.
Not sure what you mean by coincidence?

If the OP (or other posters you've seen referencing 7lb targets) is British, it might be because we tend to talk about weight in terms of Stones (14lbs) and Half Stones (7lb). So if I was 147lbs, I'd be more likely to tell people "I'm ten and a half stone". One of those weird little cultural differences.

Theilke2015 - Well done on hitting your first bit target. Sounds like you're doing things right, and it's sustainable for you. Good luck on the next 7!
