Tats are sexy AF (as long as they're tasteful and not someone's name or an inspirational quote or something like that and not on the face).

Iceland is my favourite country to visit. I've been 3 times now and I will be back at some point. The people are amazing, the culture and history is wonderful, the landscape is stunning (and ethereal at times), the language is beautiful and if you're travelling alone it's got one of the lowest crime rates in the world and…

I'm a professional archaeologist and I find that archaeologists have a mutual 'appreciation' for each other (most people I work/have worked with are also dating/married to an archaeologist). I think there's something sexy about the manual labour/intelligence combination. Mattocking/shovelling massive ditches for 8 hours a…

In the UK we call the leaf coriander as well.

I'm fine with water chestnuts if it's mixed in with other veg and a sauce (Chinese takeaway). I'll happily eat them but wouldn't necessarily buy them and cook with them myself. I actually quite like black liquorice. Also sherbert fountains = YUM! I'm mad about coriander (cilantro)! I think it's delicious and will put loads…

Haha! If only!

I used to have an ED and would only eat a max of 440 calories a DAY on top of going to the gym almost daily, doing archery for about our hours a week and walking for at least 1.5 hours a day (as well *kitten* doing home workouts). I started losing my hair. It was scary. That was 7/8 years ago. I'm now obese but I have an…

I made mine up when I was 13/14 and really into Japanese culture and art. Suki = 'like'/'love' and Sumi-e is a type of Japanese ink painting. I dropped the -e and there we go! It's sad when I Google my screen name because I made it up and now other people have used it; only some of the results are me. It's weird, it's like…

I love pretty much all Disney but Tangled is my all time favourite! I've watched it probably upwards of 30 times. I have depression and it's a film that always cheers me up (after the bit at the end of course). <3

It was hard to miss it. It's interesting and it's *in all probability* him but we can never be 100% sure. It's incredibly rare to be able to get and genetic data from a skeleton alone (the teeth are the best bet for isotopic analysis). I found Phillipa Langley's treatment of the excavation incredibly disrespectful but she…

This is a great thread. I'm an archaeologist in the UK and have excavated lots of human remains (from Roman through to Victorian), we get the occasional cremation too, so it's interesting to read things from a different perspective! We can have a Victorian skeleton (~100 years old) who is completely decayed and a…

Lacto-ovo vegetarian of 7 years here. Anyone is free to add me!

Hummus, hummus, hummus... and more hummus! I love hummus.

Starvation mode is a myth and it won't mess your progress up. Try to eat as much as you can but don't force yourself if you can't. The most important thing when you're ill is to drink plenty of fluids. Don't worry about it so much when you're ill! Just rest and I hope you feel better soon!

You don't have to reach the sodium goals unless you need to (i.e. have low blood pressure). As long as you feel fine within yourself then don't worry about adding extra salt!

I'm Maddy. Born in Reading, moved around a bit (including the US) but I now live in beautiful York. Feel free to add!

Guys (and girls tbh) can't get enough of my boobs although I don't particularly like them; I think they're too big. I've often been told I have nice eyes but I honestly don't like anything about me haha. :/

I often plan my food a day (or even two) in advance. As you say, it helps me stay on track and not be tempted by other things. Occasionally I might fancy something different (you know when you wake up and just fancy something?) but I'll make sure it stays within the calories/macros of what I'd planned. It's nothing to feel…

That's fine! I wouldn't worry about turning orange on that amount of carrot!
-
Bakewell tarts *drools*
-
It is fairly low sugar but it depends on how many carrots combined with the rest of OP'S diet where it might be something to think about. I'm not an expert! I was just trying to contribute.

I used to live in the US and missed SO many things that I took for granted over here. Prawn cocktail crisps for one! Also squash. We had a 'British store' in a nearby town and they sold 500ml bottles of Ribena for $8!! Sorry for going off topic!
-
Double jinx!
-
Wow, we're a bunch of comedians all responding with the same thing haha!

I think it's only too much when you start to turn orange. In all seriousness though, carrots are good for you, although watch the sugar in them. The fibre is great but make sure you're getting a variety of veg as well as the carrots!
-
@fiberopticjellyfishmfp Exactly! I'm someone who weighs themself every day but I'm okay with that because I know my natural fluctuations but I completely understand how easy it is to get caught up with the number on the scale (I used to have a very unhealthy relationship with my scale). I think I had a moment like you…

This... all of this. Bloody delicious!
-
That's really common in the UK! You can even order them in pubs sometimes haha. I don't know if it's weird but I like hard boiled eggs with mash and tinned spaghetti.
-
All of the above, also if you can't fit a whole pizza into your calories you can always eat what your allowance fits and take the rest home in a box?
-
I was going to say the same thing! Great going OP!
