Yeah I can't believe I'm asking this either. Everything in moderation of course but I just think carrots are such a good thing to munch on. But how many would be too much in your opinion. I'm getting around 35g of fibre in a day.

I'd say you're eating too many if your skin turns orange.21

I guess if your skin starts to turn orange you might want to back off4
-
I think it's only too much when you start to turn orange.
In all seriousness though, carrots are good for you, although watch the sugar in them. The fibre is great but make sure you're getting a variety of veg as well as the carrots!4 -

There's less than 5 grams of sugar in 100 grams of carrot.
Seems like a pretty low sugar food to me..?1 -
I eat 4-6 oz of carrots almost daily. I'm not orange...yet.3

It is fairly low sugar but it depends on how many carrots combined with the rest of OP'S diet where it might be something to think about. I'm not an expert! I was just trying to contribute.1 -
I knew an orange guy, he ate carrots nonstop. His weight was great.6

One carrot is too many. I hate carrots.
In seriousness, though, I would not be concerned unless the fiber intake negatively affects your "bathroom routine." Too much fiber can lead to constipation or other issues. And like other people have said, you really can turn orange from too much beta carotene, but that generally isn't a serious problem and would go away after you stopped eating so many carrots.3 -

Or they put you over your calorie goal2 -

Haha! I bet the two go hand-in-hand0 -
Haha thanks for the input everyone. I had four today so around 600g in total3

I eat 200-250g of carrots almost daily. Have noticed I get a bit of a orange tinge to my skin colour other than that no ill effects but have wondered the same question. Also average over 50g of fibre a day (eating close to 3000cals)0

If you eat so many Seaweedies you start looking like Arnold, that's too many.

This happened to me when I was eating too many sweet potatoes0 -
I wonder what other colors you can turn? Orange from carrots/sweet potatoes to excess as mentioned above. Blue from colloidal silver. Yellow from liver failure (jaundice).0

If you listen to Mercola they give you candida and all sorts- The devils in the sugar1

some peoples urine does turn pink on lots of beetroot
and iron supplements make your poo black.
I think one would have to eat an enormous amount of carrots before the calorie content or the sugar content became an issue - I mean, they have calories and they have sugar so it is possible - but I doubt anyone makes or breaks their weight loss progress on excessive carrots.

The orange colour comes from the carotene. Check the whites of your eyes. They may turn orange first.0

This exact question was asked on another weight loss forum I was on years ago. The answer someone gave has always stuck with me: "None of us got fat eating carrots."
I just loved it and it has always stuck with me. A bit blunt but I am a blunt type of person. What it really drills down to is if you're eating something healthy, run with it! Don't overthink it. Celebrate the fact that you are overindulging on carrots.
Have you ever seen Bugs Bunny? He's a skinny dude and he eats a ton of carrots.6 -
You won me over at Bugs Bunny hahahaha1

I have orange tinged palms and feet despite not eating a massive amount of orange vegetables. I wanted to see if I could get them to go back to normal, so experimented by only eating green vegetables for a couple of months, my poo was green. And I still have orange palms and feet0 -
35 g is not much0

I keep seeing pictures and video of an orange guy. I don't know if it's from carrots, but he tells everybody that he's great. Huge, even, but in a good way.2 -
Oh the Mr T guy??? (not allowed to mention politics on main forum )
He doesn't look healthy weight level though - perhaps it is all the carrots LOL0
